Olivia Tremor Control were fantastic last night in San Francisco. Absolutely no sound issues and the new songs were great. They did a few Arcade Fire covers, which was a really fitting homage.

For your health
Thanks, I was sitting in a shade tent taking a break and took that.....
DFA1979 was horrible. What a bunch of whiny babies. Not a headliner at all. Descendents should have headlined. Left early.
Thoroughly enjoyed: Desecendents, OFF!, Ty Segall, OTC
Did not enjoy: The shitty, incompetent sound guys; dust everywhere (still!); lack of places to sit that weren't dirt mounds
I got pretty sick (claustrophobia settled in) around 7pm and almost threw up everywhere. I didn't want a repeat of MBV at the SMC, so I had to sit down for pretty much the rest of the night.
Our good friend played with Girls and we had no fucking idea he was even in the band; we felt like bad friends — but to our credit, he just up and left LA with no notice a few months ago. (I guess to start playing with Girls...)
I saw a few of you in the distance, but I wasn't in the mood fr awkward conversations that day. I avoided pretty much every person I knew that I saw.

what was a joke....? the fact is the original OTC didnt have a sit down cello player or a french horn player. Those aspects came after. Correct me if im wrong.
edit: actually dont answer that. not sure why i just got sucked into this again. The band fucking sucks.

i see violin... but no cello or french horn.
I will give them a point for the theremin though.

I think this is a prudent moment to point out that Arcade Fire and OTC sound nothing alike.
So, it's like, not only are you retarded, you're also deaf.
it has nothing to do w/ sound... ive already stated that. It was in complete reference to their appearance on stage.

A bunch of old guys playing instruments looks just like this other band that's a mixed group of young people who also play instruments. So they're aping Arcade Fire. Because they play a french horn. Even though all their music was released in the 90s.
