Is it true that city employees get some sort of hook up to the festival? I have a friend who swears he's getting in through a hook up with his mom.

The day before the event, drive out to the Polo Grounds and pull off onto a side road just before you get to the venue. We got to listen to Tool play a couple songs as a warm-up/soundcheck, and listen to Maynard bitch about some stuff. It was pretty cool. Nothing all that amazing, but cool.
