How late are can you arrive at for car camping Thurs night?

My girlfriend is flying into LAX around 11:30PM Thursday night, and we were planning on driving directly to the car camping sites. Will we still be able to get in, and set up? If not, when do they reopen Friday? What is the best time to get there so we get in right away?

I'm pretty sure you have until 2 a.m. 11:30 is really cutting it close, if you take into account getting out of the airport on time and traveling to Indio from downtown L.A. You might want an earlier flight or be prepared for a night in your car.

Ya you won't make it. I drive in from LA every year, and it takes a minimum of two hours (speeding!) to make it. So including your delays/time out of airport, driving to the festival, and waiting in line for inspection... highly unlikely you are making that 2am cut-off. Better make alternate arrangements or bump up the flight.

i arrived super late in 09 and had to sleep in my car, which technically wasn't allowed. it is not fun waking up in your car in that heat. i suggest a flight change
