    Default Reading/Leeds 2011

Lineup announced in 90 minutes, but here's a spoiler.

How much do you wish that you were going to Friday?

    Damn Friday sucks.

    Oh shit, from Muse.mu:
"At the festival, to celebrate 10 years since the release of Origin Of Symmetry, Muse will be playing songs from this album alongside others spanning their career to date. Not only this, but they'll also be bringing a whole new stage production that will only be used for these two performances."

What the hell is Jane's doing headlining a b-stage? I mean, they're no My Chemical Romance, but seriously.

Man, I REALLY need to stop looking at this lineup, otherwise I'm going to go broke buying individual day tickets for Leeds Friday and Sunday and Reading for Saturday. :sigh:

And yes, MCR day is awful.

I was thinking the same thing, except it's been nearly four hours and tickets for every day as well as weekend passes are still available....

Would have thought Beady Eye and Pulp got higher billing.

12 bands I'd bother to see at Reading compared to....

    The National
    Anna Calvi
    Avi Buffalo
    The Bees
    Bright Eyes
    British Sea Power
    Caitilin Rose
    Caribou
    Deerhunter
    Edward Sharpe
    Edwyn Collins
    Esben & The Witch
    Glasser
    Gold Panda
    I Am Kloot
    Jenny & Johnny
    The Leisure Society
    Lloyd Cole
    Marques Toliver
    My Morning Jacket
    OMD
    Trophy Wife
    Villagers
    Yann Tiersen

So, about twice as good as Reading for me.

    Reading/Leeds:
    pulp
    muse
    strokes
    dfa 1979
    2manydjs
    warpaint
    Interpol
    elbow

    latitude:
    deerhunter
    foals
    glasser
    Jenny and Johnny
    omd
    yann tiersen

yeah, r/l will never be good as it is full of chavs and the lineup littered with acts like 30 seconds to mars but at least they have a few must-see acts. Latitude is just abyssmal. Dear god.

I really can't be too disappointed in any line-up with The Strokes, Pulp, and DFA1979. Even Friday isn't that bad, if only because of The Horrors and Beady Eye.

Given the choice, I'd pick Latitude over R/L any day of the week.

Also, my God, no Pendulum? That can't be right.

I can't imagine duller headliners than The National and Paolo Nutini. Well, besides Jack Johnson, I mean.

    Did anyone see this?

The Strokes play after Pulp at Reading, but at Leeds Pulp closes out the night.

A one-day pass is ~$150, which is $60 more than a Wireless ticket, a 3-day pass is ~$320, which is more than Glastonbury.

Hard to believe that lineups used to look like this

3 day pass was what a single day ticket costs now.

So who is "A"? I like how it's Deathcab and THE Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
