About 3 trade paperbacks into Preacher. It's unreal.

Since there's Preacher talk, I have to say that Walt Goggins (Justified, The Shield) is my A #1 choice to play Jesse. He's got a great stare and a good accent that could be twisted into Texan.

Also - does anybody want a crap-ton of late 80's comics? I have complete runs of Blue Beetle and Booster Gold, probably 50ish Justice League and Justice League International/Europe, some Daredevil, the complete early run of Transformers (might be missing a few here and there) and a bunch of other stuff. I'm downsizing and only keeping TPBs from here on out... plus, they're kinda dumb. Tried reading some and I was severely bored.

I used to draw comics and I loved the things. I guess sometimes you move on.

Currently loving Uncanny XForce & XFactor the mostest. I loved the previous incarnation of XForce more because it just seemed so much darker. While I was not crazy about the new Apocalypse/Arcangel storyline, I was interested how they were gonna save Warren. And while not always a Deadpool fan, I have to say he and Fantomex working together have been great.

Love X-23, as well as Daken: Dark Wolverine.

Did read the reboot for Catwoman and Batgirl. Ok, so far. I have #2 & #3 of Wonder Woman, but I need to find #1 before I can read those.

The first issue of Catwoman was so bad it was offensive. I would say the same about Red Hood and the Outlaws. Both have picked up in the issues that have come out more recently, but Judd Winick is a pretty huge assfuck, imo.

More importantly... The Savage fucking Hawkman. I loved the first run, and now I hear they're giving it to Rob fucking Liefield? GOD DAMNIT, DC.

At least I have Aquaman.

Am I the only one who thought that Wolverine and Cyclops' big battle in Schizm was unnecessary? After what happened with Idie in San Francisco, that wasn't enough for them to be divided and for them to go their separate ways? They actually had to physically fight about it? I'm sorry, but it just seemed like a pointless fight. And they had to bring up Jean Grey, too? That certainly didn't justify the actual fight either.

Hey Bryan, did you ever read the late 80s Grant Morrison run of Animal Man? That's one of my favorite run on any book ever ( and probably would be #1 if the art were better - although the Brian Bolland covers were great)

The Sandman comic series was my favorite growing up. They should make a movie out of it. Very underrated imo.

This past spring, I had the great fortune to do some artwork with ten other artists from the Academy of Art University on a first-of-its-kind project. Written by Brian Schirmer, artwork by us, and under the art direction of Jeremy Saliba (Dynamite's Wheel of Time), we went from script to finished graphic novel in fifteen weeks.

The end result is Ultrasylvania - an alternate history of 19th century Europe, where Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, and a certain Egyptian resident don't lurk in the darkness - they're world leaders, struggling to hold their nations together amid assassination plots, romantic betrayals, and political intrigues.

Ultrasylvania has been unfolding as a webcomic since May, where it updates with a new page every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. If you want to start from the beginning - and you should - click here.

Thank you, I'm glad you are enjoying it. As of now the web comic is about halfway through the first volume. Volume 2 will be created this coming fall semester with some of the artists from Volume 1 as well as a few new ones. Thank you again for checking us out.

The Sandman is without a doubt, my favorite title ever. Amazing work, from top to bottom. I just don't know if a movie would ever do that world justice, but with some of recent "comic book" movies that have come out over the last few years, I am more hopeful. It's all in the details, and most of those movies have taken that to heart.

I think Sandman/Death/the Dreaming etc stuff would work better as a pay-cable show than a movie. Just like preacher, if that ever is able to get going. Hopefully the success of game Of Thrones will help more straight adaptation shows get made.

Just finished reading Before Watchmen: Minutemen issues #4 & 5. I have not been interested in any of the other Before Watchmen titles, but Minutemen delivers for me. Something about that combination of the dark story threads with art that looks like it's straight out of Batman: The Animated Series makes me wish this could go on forever. Also, some revealations in the book seem to go against assumtions about off-panel happenings in Watchmen.

Also, am I 100% wrong in thinking that it's implied that SPOILER ALERT: Laurie (Silk Spectre II) may actually be Hollis Mason's (Nite Owl) daughter? END SPOILER

One more issue to go, so this better finish well.

It apparently contains recommendations for how to piece them together, but from what I can ascertain there are fourteen different pieces in there, each with a different story taking place in the same apartment building and all, at some point, featuring a woman who becomes the central theme to the whole story. There's everything from a hardcover book to a newspaper to a game board. It's been sold out everywhere I've looked.
