I got section N1. it was 44 bucks. 20 dollar service fee. I don't know why the fuck I just bought that. That's an awful amount of money.Why didn't I just get the cheap seats. The regular Hollywood Bowl crowd is very apathetic, and every time I have been there, I've been surrounded by drunk jerks and jerkettes who won't shut the fuck up during the show, much less pay attention to it.
The fact that they are making people buy 5 events is even worse, and insures that this type of shitty concert goer will dominate the event yet again. These people are not music lovers, they are Bowl queens.

That being said, I'll most likely be there anyways. But I hate the Hollywood Bowl.

I had good fun at all the bowl shows I went to accept one, I forget what band it was, but the drunk jerks and jerkettes were sitting all around us. Couldn't hear the music, just their drunken loud banter and laughter.

Yeah badly beaten.... I got tickets for 5 bowl shows so I could go to this. And yeah the $20 service fee doesnt seem so bad if you buy a lot of tickets and not just one.

Getting sauced is fine if you're gonna dance. Don't get me wrong I like drinking. But I NEVER drink at electronic music shows when there are muuuuuuch better alternatives.

Well for one its a different crowd. And it is music lovers, these people buy season passes, if that is not a music lover then what is one? One who sits on a board all day complaing? Nah, but I had great fun at the bowl, for ONE YOU CAN BRING YOUR OWN FUCKING WINE! AND FOOD!!!! for two, tickets are decently priced when you buy in bulk and get the cheap seats, one year i saw Dead Can Dance, Basement Jax/Royksopp, Disney 4th of July at the Bowl, the music from Woody Allen movies which i love the music woody selects for his movies, Berlin Jazz music featuring Joel Gray, and for two tickets the total for all five shows was only $54. Bowl sponsored events allow you to bring your own wine, i know i said that once but it needs to be repeated. Some KFC and Trader Joes 2 Buck Check and you got yourself a great night under the stars and sometimes fireworks.
If you didnt enjoy yourself in that setting then you need to smoke a joint and relax and have some fun.

The bowl is great. It's going to be an amazing show. Where else can you bring in booze, all your own food, any type of seat cushion you want and almost anything else.

I have so many fond memories of the bowl and really nobody stays in their seat. Security is pretty lax about that.

Where else can you be watching a band while a guy is throwing hundreds anad hundreds of free jello shots to the crowd.

no, thanks for the info - just got my tix (plus the extra shows I'm giving to my sister except for Diavolo - cool modern dance troupe) - even if Underworld pulls out its worth taking the chance - best avail was sec J2 for $37 - I'll be dancing somewhere -my seat, the aisle, whatever. Oh, you made my day!!!
