Murder city devils vs. Antony and the Johnsons.... Still the worst conflict for me ever. Went with antony cause I'd seen mcd before, but they're one of my favorite bands ever. Would've loved to have seen them in my favorite place on earth.

Still kicking myself extra hard for missing Cut Copy last year. Hopefully 2Chellas will help me to have no regrets this year.
2005, 2007, 2011, 2012 W1, 2012 W2, 2013 W1, 2013 W2, and SOON 2014 W1 & 2014 W2!!
PJ Harvey
Leonard Cohen (although being pretty close to McCartney is somewhat of a redeeming factor)
Leaving Suede early for Arcade Fire. Looking back, bad move, particularly being that I saw them just a few months later at Outside Lands, had a much better spot, and aside from the glowing balls, their set at OL was better than at Coachella.
PIL in 2010 and Chemical Brothers in 2009. In 2009, I left Sahara to listen to the Killers (they were awesome) but I hate GV for making both bands playing the same time
Ouch, missing Cohen is a crusher. I can't believe how great he was and he'll never be there again. Also, I beg to differ about Arcade Fire. That show was WAY better than the OSL show. Go back and listen to the Coachella set and compare it to any other show from that tour. Their energy level was at an all time high. It was Win's birthday and he made the most of it. Those glowing balls was still one of the coolest stunts I've ever seen at a show.

OK, to correct myself, when I said "better" I didn't mean a huge difference. The two Arcade Fire performances I'd say were comparable (again with the balls being the glaring difference), so perhaps it's just a matter of perception and personal experience. Much better spot and much better crowd vibe around me at OL.
The point, however, is that Suede was killing it, and I'm a fool for leaving early.
I regret missing Leonard Cohen's set. Traffic was a bitch that day and I could almost hear him sing the last song as I ran over to catch Ghostland Observatory.
Cohen was amazing. I regret missing Flaming Lips so many years ago.

1) LCD Soundsystem in 07. Sat through a shitty Chili Peppers set instead. Love the bootleg though.
2) A Perfect Circle in 99. Just got there too late.
3) Mogwai in 06. Got talked into suffering through that train wreck of Madonna set.
4) Chemical Brothers in 99. I honestly just wasn't into EDM at that point.
5) The Trentemoller >Ratatat > Presets > Leftfield run in 2011. The Strokes were great, but I should of bailed on a mediocre Kanye and headed to the Mojave.

I missed all of Sunday 2004 because I went BONKERS Saturday. So how about regret missing that WHOLE FUCKING DAY.

i beat myself up regularly about Kraftwerk and Basement Jaxx in 2004 and the chem bros in 2011.
and Muse in 2010 (obv just kidding.)
Every act in 2004! But I've seen all of the important ones like Kraftwerk, since then. I no longer feel bed, since I was in Amsterdam at the time! But I now, make sure there are no conflicts with attending Coachella!

Yeah, Suede was the highlight of the fest for me. I don't regret missing the first few songs from AF at all. I also saw both performances, and liked the Coachella performance better, but it might have just been the weather. :P)
Missed Devo in 2010. I was just way too tired at 12:30 or whenever they went on. Also I left Fever Ray after about 40 minutes to see the tail end of PiL which was an epic blunder, since she played the Nick Cave cover Stranger than Kindness seemingly right after I was out of earshot.
Interpol was garbage. It's like they had a huge energy vaccuum on stage. Wholly mediocre set. Almost nothing from Our Love to Admire. I wish I'd seen the guy from Bloc Party. My gf saw him and loved it. I love the Swell Season but they were totally drowned out between I think Lightning Bolt, the Don't Lab and some miscellaneous ounce-ounce-ounce'ing in the Sahara. They had a really unfortunate slot.
2011 - Sleigh Bells
- Cut Copy
2009 - Friendly Fires
2010 - King Khan and the Shrines; Jonsi
2011 - The Joy Formidable; Menomena
ratatat & phantogram lost out to the strokes via group decision making last year--probably regret missing those two the most. oh & i went to the bizarro disappointment that was crystal castles instead of monarchy for some ungodly reason.
Throbbing Gristle is the act I most regret missing. I wish I would have stayed for full sets of Leonard Cohen, Roger Waters, Leftfield.
I regret missing Cut Copy, Dead Weather, and Orbital to name a few. I can't decide if I regret missing Ariel Pink. That melt down could have been interesting.
Oh look it stopped snowing...
was Ariel Stink that day, so don't regret it in the slightest. A guy standing onstage not singing the songs we came to hear, while also complaining the audience didn't care about him ("you don't love me"). My friend left two minutes into the whole thing and I joined her on the grass shortly thereafter. It was terrible.
Would like to say I regret missing PJ Harvey, as she was a target, but I don't really live that way.
