Band of Skulls and 'Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros'
I had tears of joy during this performance. The crowd participation for their show was unreal. There was an unnaturally good vibe circulating in the audience, I remember thinking "This is like the most genuinely happy audience Ive ever seen at coachella" I hope they headline in the next couple years, they definitly know how to get a crowd going.
Double agreed. i was exhausted and after the first half my body said "Get thee some rest". That year i was parked behind the Sahara and walked through every tent during my exit. When i was in my car taking care of the sorting of camera stuff, i could hear the greatness i was missing. To read it here and see the clips, it still hurts. Wish i wasn't such a pussy that night, but there were other factors going on.
LCD Soundsystem and Die Antwoord last year

That you missed out. Those two sets were definitely highlights for Me.

Saturday I also arrived a bit late and missed Camera Obscura and Temper Trap.
I also missed several acts due to sheer ignorance (I "discovered" them later): Sleigh Bells, Passion Pit, Grizzly Bear, The Whitest Boy Alive, the XX, Hot Chip, Bassnectar, Yo La Tengo, the Glitch Mob, and The Big Pink.
I had a great time but in retrospect I did Coachella ALL WRONG last year. This year I am a Woman With A Plan.
2011 Version:
Warpaint
Cut Copy
Foals
The Joy Formidable
Ratatat
Leftfield
Good bump.
Wish I saw more of
Warpaint
Beardyman (even though I caught some of his set this is my biggest regret)
Bright Eyes
Daedalus
Mariachi El Bronx
Acts I completely missed
Empire of the Sun (damn you acid!)
Ratatat
Chromeo
Phantogram
Not exactly a huge regret since I finally got to see him at Nocturnal this year, but Breakage. If I knew then what I know now, how one of James' sets assaults your ears in a frenzy of REAL bass music, I would've been there in a heartbeat.
2006 - all of it, especially daft punk, wish i had been there.
2007, wish i'd seen LCD & Rapture in the Sahara
2008, missed it, will always wish i'd seen animal collective (though I saw them at the wiltern that year), roger, portishead, aphex, battles, man man, teenagers, fuck...
2009, wish i'd gone to beirut, los campesinos!, presets, gang gang dance, amanda palmer
2010 - i really nailed the festival that year and i have basically no regrets. it would have been cool to see Pretty Lights, I guess, but whatever. i missed half of girls on saturday because of traffic, that was crappy. i picked Pavement and Thom Y. over Plastikman and Orbital... That sucked but there wasn't much I could do about the situation. I know this is remembered as the clusterfucked year but I fucking loved every minute of it. I really appreciate the love for Whitest Boy Alive in this thread - they played 1517 during Hova's fireworks show and life was perfect.
2011 - I regret being tired out after partying too hard on Saturday night. I made it through Sunday but got lazy and trapped on the west half of the field for Duran Duran, Strokes and Kanye. In doing so I missed trentemoller, leftfield, lightning bolt and the presets (again!) which was stupid. lil b would have been fun. and it was a shame to miss gayngs, should have stuck to the mojave after robyn.
Called it a night on Saturday WAY too early after what was still a great day. Should've stuck around for Empire of the Sun and Arcade Fire, especially Arcade Fire.
dead weather
f'n schedule idiots put Les Claypool at the same time.
PJ Harvey and Lightning Bolt, last year. Wanted to see both but had conflicts.
Also, all of Wire's set (left after 10 minutes to catch Big Audio Dynamite).
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.
our group got a great spot for chem bros, just infront of the sound booth main stage. had to wait it out for a little bit because they were late getting started. in the middle of the set my gf's friend wants to check out boyz noize. i laugh and say go aheadthey actually left in the middle of the chem bros set at the main stage (front and center) to catch the last 15 min of boyz noize in the sahara, only to hear the chemical brothers still goin off on the main stage
we still talk about it, and she knows she fucked up. lesson learned....if you're having a good time at the set you're at, there is no need to set chase.
No Shirt
No Shoes
No Dice
Learn it. Know it. Live it.
Florence + the Machine...glad ill have a chance to redeem myself

I left Amanda Palmers set after 1 song to go see Michael Franti while being cooked in the sun and waiting for TV on the Radio. Big mistake, saw that she had an epic set list. This will be the advantage for those weekend 2 people this year.
