So words did yet another of it's random, pointless crashes. Once I finally got back in, all my current matches vanished. Have restarted the phone, cleared data, and even reinstalled, and nada.

Also, anyone else ever been told "game over, you lose" when your opponent is only ahead by a couple points and you still have enough letters to grab 14 points on the next turn?

Question for Boourns and others who've had problems with Words With Friends. What device are you playing it on? iPod Touch, iPhone 3g, 3gs, 4, Android, iPad?

I've been playing it on my iPhone 3g for a year and have never had the problems some people are mentioning here.

It's underway. It started slow and has gotten slower. Tessa made a couple moves two days ago, before that there was a four-day delay. We're about halfway done and the score is close. At this pace it may be a few weeks before it's over.
