    Default Refillable water bottles

Will the refillable Coachella bottles be making a return in 2011? I didn't see anything about them in the FAQ, though it did mention the 10 for 1 deal. Those refillable water bottles were definitely the best deal offered at coachella last year, in my opinion.

Theyll most likely make a return, but the bottle was a lot bigger in 2009 compared to last year for the same price. I want a bigger bottle!

Dani has indicated that the refillable bottle program will not be returning in 2011. The 10-for-1 program will remain, and bottled water will be $2 throughout the festival.

Probably because of this lame rule that caused confusion and disappointment.

Thumbs down Re: Refillable water bottles

Pretty lame. Lolla and OSL had free refillable stations all over the fest.. didnt matter what u put the water in and it was always free.. won't stop me from going to coachella though, but very disappointing!

    Really lame.

Not looking forward to spending $10/day on water or spending 30 minutes to refill for free. Or hunt for 10 empties.

OSL didn't have free refills for any bottle. It was only free for OSL bottles but it could have been a bottle from any year. Any other bottle was 1 dollar to fill up.
It's a shame if they don't bring it back. Yes they will probably make more money without it but with it, it at least makes it look like they are trying to be environmentally friendly.

It's reassuring to know that the nearly 1 million plastic bottles used during the 2011 weekend will be recycled and turned into park benches or parking lot stoppers(used to be concrete)

Such a good lesson in being green.

Coachella can't preach the importance of safety and staying hydrated yet be so unwilling to facilitate refill programs like last year or set up more water fountains. $2 is a steal RELATIVE to other concerts, but paying two dollars per water bottle in dry 90 degree heat can add up quick. Coachella needs to play a more proactive role in motivating and incentivizing people to drink TONs of water, especially when acknowledging the amount of ecstasy and alcohol use. I remember standing in line for the water last year for 30 minutes rolling balls and thinking i was going to die of heat stroke.

At festival 8 a couple of years back they had refillable Nalgene bottles for sale. Had water stations throughout camp grounds and concert venue free for Nalgene $1 maybe if not? By end of night 1 it seemed you were filling your own container and it could have been any for remainder of fest. I think they gave up pouring and charging for water given the crowd as well. If they set up a festival designed to allure a certain crowd they need to meet their needs. 10 for 1 is stupid. Crowd isn’t made of bums just some people covered in glitter lookin’ for a good time 8-)

That doesn't make any sense. It sounds more like YOU need to play a more proactive role in ensuring you don't die from heat stroke.

I was there last year, and if you stood in line for 30 minutes to get water, you don't know how to stand in line properly. I think this had more to do with your roll than the number of people trying to get water.

the person taking the illegal drugs or pounding the alcohol needs to play a proactive role in taking care of themselves. it is not the job of goldenvoice to babysit etards/drunks.

This is bullshit. Honestly if this is a result of GV not wanting to spend the money, they are total dicks. I will gladly pay $25 for a $0.35 water bottle if it TRULY is too much of a financial burden for you, GV to take on.
Fuck it, I will coordinate the whole fucking operation for you guys. PM me with the go ahead and I'll sort it out for you assholes
