question. would it be appropriate to bring up descendents in this thread?
This ain't no middle of the mall shit.
Whoa, I had never heard that before. Fuckin brutal.
Yeah man their three albums are all really really good. Cursed III is probably my favorite. Bummer I never got the chance to see them live.
Whoops. Must have fucked something up when deleting some of your post.

I had this t-shirt and wore it until it pretty much fell apart hahaha
And, this, FYI, is my favorite track of Danzig's entire career. Holy hell, this song kicks so much fucking ass.

This may not belong here, but what the hey. Also, I was waiting a while to see Mineral pop up. That band and early Piebald threw me curve balls when I was knee deep in pop punk.

"Mr. Toad's Wild Aidz."
milo goes to college is one of my favorite punk rock albums of all time. descendents are a band i have appreciated more and more as time goes on...unlike a lot of punk/hardcore bands i listened to when i was younger. i like most of their later albums as well, but milo goes to college is damn near perfect. i wish i could do a better write up for everyone, but i'm just not very good at it. plus i'm sure most of you are very familiar with descendents.
and just for fun...
let this serve as a bump, let's keep it going.
This ain't no middle of the mall shit.
I also find myself appreciating Descendants more as I get older for some reaosn. Milo Goes To College such an amazing album! But Everything Sucks is probably my favorite...though quite far off from being a hardcore record.
I have plenty more to contribute to this thread, just taking a little breather...the last 2 days were tiring lol. Also, i've been listening to nothing but artists from this thread haha

See, now we've descended into pop punk. Keep it ragged folks.
I can't explain it, but this might be my favorite Fugazi song
Also, I am fucking seeing Rival Schools in May and I am so goddamn excited. Tickets for the Bootleg are finally on sale.

It's one of my all time favorite albums. They seemed to be Fugazi's west coast counterpart, and Leaves Turn Inside You is their answer to The Argument. However, it's a much darker, more complex and more convoluted record. It takes some listens, but I love it beyond compare.

How is their other stuff? I notice they have a lot of albums, and it's interesting that the one you chose happened to be their last
Also, Sense Field should be mentioned in here. Their first 3 albums really are the epitome of post-hardcore...after that they really went for a blander, big radio song. Building is a fucking great album especially though

Prior to Leaves, they were a really good, noisy, Fugazi-like post punk band. They had some really great songs and two albums that hold up front to back as classic, but Leaves was their huge step forward. It's nowhere near as heavy or fast, and it's so much more developed.
Yeah, i'm on track 9 of Leaves right now, this is sooooo up my alley. This is a fucking dense album.

New Fucked Up
Holy shit it's awesome. Not a hardcore song whatsoever if it weren't for Damian's screaming.
