Yeah, I'm a super huge fan of their whole catalog. Great fucking live show too.

I saw them in the mid-2000's, probably after You Fail Me, at the Whiskey in Hollywood. Jamey Jasta came out and did a few Hatebreed songs with the band, that was mindblowing for me. I saw them a night or two later at Chain Reaction. Insane.

I've got some shit for you guys:
That there is my favorite release of the year so far.
That's a series I've been working on with some friends. That band is insane.
I've probably already posted that before, but it's great.
This is old but I've been listening to them a lot again, because they've been playing shows.
and lastly, here's this

It's been out for a while, but the new Unsane album is good. It's got a cover of Flipper's 'Ha Ha Ha' that sounds even more evil and awesome than the original (though there's nothing wrong with the original).
I've been getting into Killdozer recently. I got Twelve Point Buck a while back and it's fantastic, just all loud and distorted with laugh-out-loud lyrics. 'Ballad of My Old Man' is a classic.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.
As far as 2012 goes...
Slices- Still Crusing: I've talked about this a few times but unlikely anything in the hardcore/punk arena will overtake this atop my list for the year. It's heavy, clever and just really hits me the right way. SPIN recently included them in some write-up they did about re-emergence of hardcore punk. Regardless of the piece, it seems they're starting to get the recognition they deserve.
The Boston Strangler- Primitive: Good ole fashion straight edge, growling hardcore from Boston (as you might assume) in the SSD vain. Pretty ruthless stuff. Apparently, the LP has been damn near impossible to get a copy of but a quick google search should find you an mp3 copy of it.
Sickoids- S/T LP: This one is wild and hits reeeeally hard. I'd liken it to something born of heavy Husker Du influence combined with the raw energy of anarcho punk. Their soundcloud has a few songs from the album. http://soundcloud.com/sickoids/sets/sickoids-lp
This is awesome - multi camera HD full live set from CONVERGE'S may 26 show in NY. The audio isn't the best, but it looks gorgeous!

I would like to recommend something else in here today too: Inamorata by Vilipend. This is a spastic, noisy metalcore record that reminds me a little bit of Since By Man's We Sing The Body Electric. Raspy, throaty vocals, super jangly guitars, and nice riffs that sometimes chug. The whole thing has a really nice crunch to it. They have the first track of the album on their bandcamp, but the whole thing is easy to find.

They're always changing members and now Chad is singing with them again?!
I just found this. Feature-length concert video from an '85 SST tour, headlined by Husker Du and also featuring the Minutemen, the Meat Puppets, Saccharine Trust and SWA. I'll report back on quality.
Edit: It's pro shot and mixed, incredible quality, especially for the time. Saccharine Trust still sounds exactly the same live.
Start times for each band
SWA: 0:54
Saccharine Trust: 12:00
The Meat Puppets: 26:41
The Minutemen: 42:51
Husker Du: 54:27
Mexico City is no joke!
Fuckin amazing they closed out with the Saddest Day @ Boston show as well. Just watch it
I've been digging this LP for couple days now...the singer/guitarist is a chick!
Listen to all of the band's LP here: http://soundcloud.com/deathwishinc/s...s-love/s-5sW37
Whores. I am in no way involved with this band, but they are pretty much the best noise rock band I have seen in years. In the Touch and Go/Amphetamine Reptile vein. Really, really, really looking forward to the full length. http://whores.bandcamp.com/
Can't wait till Saturday!
First song off of the upcoming Pissed Jeans album sounds pretty great. Hopefully it's not one of only a couple I'll love off of the album with a bunch of others that don't stick. Seems to be how it works with me and Pissed Jeans.
I believe this is probably the best thread to post this in. My friend is selling a bunch of his LPs to start saving up for his wedding next year. Take a peek.
