Seconded. I'd put it in the noise thread and CD/LP Purchases.
Several of the bands at Fun Fun Fun Fest were not happy that the crowd didn't seem to know the festival was named after a Big Boys song. Pretty funny to me. Great band.
The Dicks wrote some great songs, but I tend to like the covers better than the originals.
I mean bands covering the Dicks, not songs the Dicks covered.
What do people think of Title Fight? Just got around to listening to Floral Green and it is fantastic.
i still haven't listened to their recorded stuff, but they were great at FYF 2011.

4:05 and on haha. Ben is ridiculous...
Geoff Rickley's teeth
I saw them at Metalfest in San Bernardino this weekend. My friend's band played so I was lucky enough to watch their drummer for a little bit.
Also, they brought back firebreathing which was ironic because I overheard someone saying "Oh, they don't do that anymore." Fire's at the 4:00 mark. They also smashed the drum kit (same clip) and Greg climbed the rafters (second clip).
A list of my favorite hardcore releases of the year because I'm bored...
Slices- Still Cruising
School Jerks- S/T LP
Boston Strangler- Primitive
Wiccans- Field II
Sickoids- S/T LP
Walls- The Future is Wide Open
White Lung- Sorry (it's a stretch for HC but whatever)
Toys That Kill- Fambly Rights (again, a stretch, but worth mentioning here)
Wet Brain- Demo
Mauser- Isolation EP
That's all for now.
Soooo I don't know if this is really, but it would be amazing if it was.

I don't know how many people are into harDCore, Dischord style, but Shawn Brown (1st Dag Nasty singer, Swiz, Jesuseater) and Jason Farrell (Bluetip, Fury, Swiz, Retisonic) have a new band, Red Hare, with a couple old band members. I love Jason Farrell's galloping guitar sound. I'm definitely looking forward to this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0O-z...ature=youtu.be
I recently found out that one of my favorite bands of any genre, TRAGEDY, released an album is 2012 called Darker Days ahead. They're a crust band that always had a lot of Swedish death/black metal influence in their use of huge melodic guitar work. This 4th full length takes the tempo down a lot more for the most part - though there are still bursts of speed throughout. It's much sludgier than normal, and it's a very welcome change. Super solid record!

I'm pretty versed in punk music but i don't know much about other genres like mathcore, early emo, etc. that fit this thread. (Some of the bands I do know and love are Fugazi, Drive Like Jehu, Moss Icon, Daughters)..... and there's so many band names thrown around in this thread i don't know where to start. Could someone be kind enough to make a top 10 list of albums I should listen to?
I'm listening to Fucked Up - The Chemistry of Common Life for the first time in a long time. I don't care what anyone says, it's their best release by a long shot and on the short list for best hardcore albums ever. Probably best punk albums ever, and maybe even best albums ever. The crazy level of craft that went into it is just astounding and that they turned these super-dense tracks into something very listenable and almost catchy just makes my jaw drop.
Hidden World has better songs. Chemistry of Common Life is a better album. It's built as an album, it flows more readily, the sounds are of a piece. Hidden World is a really well built album on the first half, and the second half is full of great songs that don't seem to fit the album but work well on their own.
