What, why? Lay Low and Dondante are two of their best songs. I like that whole album, but those two songs are undeniable.

They've always been a local band for me. Saw them for the first time at the Oldham County Fair and then about a dozen times at the Phoenix Hill Tavern.

The band members aren't the same, the music has some foreign kinda 'poppy' elements to it and they're not playing little whiskey bars anymore- they're playing red rocks.

With that said- I'm giving the 'new' albums some more spins and I'm really really excited to get to Circuital! I wasn't trying to say that I particularly disliked post '03, I meant more that I don't recognize it as the same stuff I grew up on. Change is good though.

A couple listens in, and the only song I actively skip is "Wonderful (The Way I Feel)." No good, Yim Yames. Favorite songs: Circuital, Outta My System, First Light. Holdin' On To Black Metal is growing on me.

Overall, it's about on par with Evil Urges - highs aren't as high, lows aren't as low, and it's definitely no Z, but it's fine/pretty good.

I still can't get this album to download. I keep getting errors from piratebay and isohunt, but never have errors from demonoid. Annoying. Not connecting.

I'm a big fan of MMJ and after a few listens to Circuital, I gotta say this is their worst album. No question in my mind. I'm really disappointed.

"Circuital" is the only bright spot. Pretty good song.

Thats the thing. At this point I feel like a new MMJ record is basically a chance to inject new songs into the live show. And these are all gonna be great live.

i hear that. must be weird to see a local band blow up and change like that. still, not that i ever saw them back in the day, but to me it seems like as a live band, they are really firing on all cylinders and probably better than they ever have been.

yes, i believe we have. to be honest i havent listened to it in forever, but just remember thinkin it was a little too mellow/country and not enough rock for me. i'll give it another listen though just for you to see if it grows on me.
