I dug it quite a bit. Bummed that it was running so long that I had to leave before the encore was over, so I JUST missed Mageetah, which is the last song I was dying to hear. I reallyl iked what they did with Holding on to Black Metal, especially with the female backup singers, and closing the regular set with One Big Holiday was spectacular. I LOVE that song.

I was blown away last night. They are seriously one of the greatest live bands. On record they are perfect but live they are just indescribable. I loved all the songs they played. This is definately in my top ten now forsure. Seeing them everytime they come around. Gotta a setlist and a pretty sweet poster.

They do care, they've checked pretty carefully before. One time I had press and was wearing a sticker on my shirt and they tried to stop me going in until I pointed at my sticker.

so that show kicked fucking ass. having M Ward and Preservation Hall come out was really a nice treat. Played from 915 to 12 and did two fantastic encores. not to mention Dondante and Dancefloors.

These guys are so consistently amazing that after seeing them 6 times its just become expected. They need to suck live for a while so as to break up the scenery a bit.

This. Wednesday was the first time they played this out of the 3 shows I've seen of theirs, and it was my personal highlight. I hadn't really given it much attention prior.
