Now that it's happening, what is your regret level for not being there?
Not at all: I'm wiped out / Saw everything I wanted / Had a bad experience last week
A little bit: I had a great time last week, once was probably good enough for me, but part of me still wishes I were there
More than a little bit: If you gave me a free pass, I'd be there
A lot: Why the hell didn't I do two weekends?
I just bought a pass from a sketchy dude on the internet and I'm on 1-10 now
There's really no way that I could swing both weekends and still have the time and monies off from work to do the other festivals that I plan on attending this year. Having said that I am really jealous that I am not there this weekend :/
I've had the flu the last four days, so I don't want to be back.
It was my favorite year by far though
The Rolling Stones - International Noise Conference: Los Angeles - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - Austra - Colin Stetson - The Pacific Rim Projekt - The National - Goat Rodeo - Hopscotch 2013- GY!BE - Beirut/Vampire Weekend
If I had the money and could take enough time off from work I'd do it twice for sure.
If I went 2 weekends, I would definitely use the opportunity to see the art more. That'd be my main motivation. Other than that, one weekend is fine.
If it didn't take an entire day to get there and another one to get home from the East Coast, I'd be there.
Can't get a 9 day pass from work unless I have another kid and that ain't happening.
It takes a fast car, lady,
To lead a double life.
If I lived within a reasonable driving distance, I would have bought a pass after work today and drove immediately to the festival grounds. I would have figured out where the hell I was staying on the way.
I've been in bed for 3 days with something between the flu and dying, and up until about an hour ago, you couldn't have given me passes. Now that I've opened the windows and can hear the flow of traffic going down Monroe, with an occasional waft of music, I'm kinda wishing I were there...
1. Run to a nice patch of grass on the fields and lay face down.
2. Tilt your head ninety degrees with your forehead temple resting on your forearm and watch people through the vision pocket right underneath your armpit hair.
3. Do this for a few hours until you get comfortable.
A Daft Punk thread containing 'nothing of substance'. How bout that.
Being so close would be torturous.
I'd probably get arrested.

My regrets/conflicts from last weekend:
1) Not seeing Grinderman
2) Not seeing the xx/Phoenix back-to-back in their moment getting called up on the big stage
Not really too bad. I still got my Nick Cave set in, and I've seen/will see the xx and Phoenix again.
I have a Grinder and HTDA regret. It's itchy.
Got sick after. Saw pretty much everything I could. Maybe redo Saturday again. I dunno though.
I believe I've worn a path through the grass, from our back door to the wall that runs along Monroe Street. Up against the wall, sits my stepladder and a pair of binoculars for about the only viewing pleasure I'll be getting of the 2nd weekend...Soundwise, it's a mish-mash of traffic noise and an occasional bass drop during the day, but the later it gets, the louder and clearer it seems to sound. I imagine as the night moves on, my ass will be planted on the wall just soaking up whatever I can until next year...

I bought 2 passes for $475, and I managed to get in half of Friday, and all of the glorious Saturday. I just couldn't make in on Sunday unfortunately. I had a great time!
I purchased an artist pass off of craigslist for 200 bucks on saturday, best decision of my life!!
I bought a pass for $150 on craigslist, left Santa Barbara at 10:30pm on Friday, arrived at the campgrounds at 2:00am on Saturday morning. Saw all the bands I missed first weekend and left Sunday at 8:00 to make it back to Santa Barbara by midnight.
