Do you think, assuming this is real, that it means there will be other adds? That is the real question, I think, because I do not care about this band.

Gord Downie is the singer for the Tragically Hip so he is already playing the rest of the band just has to show up. Its not really an ad in the traditional since it just means that TH songs will be played instead of GD playing just his solo stuff.

The Tragically Hip aren't going to be at Coachella. If anyone actually bothered to read the COS article closely it only mentions that Gord is the front man of The Hip.

I think you're missing the point. Gord Downie was in no way an "add" as COS made him out to be at the very beginning of the article. Maybe COS just figured out who he was when the tour announcements came out.

As usual, Coachella fans have clamored incessantly for late additions this year. While Goldenvoice has little incentive to make any major changes, it’s hard to argue the latest move isn’t at least solid. As part of a spring tour, Gord Downie, lead singer of the royal-in-Canada, unknown-in-America alternative rock band The Tragically Hip, will play the third night of the sold-out annual mega-fest.

man fuck cos. god damnit. i was hoping for a renewed possibility of a couple other ads but ok.. i'll take what we got.. just don't have odd future conflict with anyone major and we're ok, Coachella.
