How are you preparing for Coachella '11?

This year I am preparing by:
1. Saving up some money.
2. Sampling music from the lineup with which I am unfamiliar (I call it "researching the lineup"). Last year I made the rookie mistake of being painfully unprepared in this respect.
3. Participating on the message boards.
4. Putting together some cute/comfy outfits. Well it's a bit early but I will do this in April, probably including a bit of shopping

Last year i got in shape but i learned i cant do it too early or i fail to diet...Had a 4 pack (Not a 6 but whatever)

Then i got too dam excited..Party and smoked a week and a half before...Gained weight..

This year i am prepared!!

Also better prepare for food....Me and my friend were idiots last year and just ate Cold Chef Boyardee and only had water and 6 bottles of Vodka...Not a good idea..

When the weekend was done i was dying for a sandwich....

Check out monkey huts, super easy to make and they break down easy. I take mine to Burning Man and am bringing it to camp this year. If you do the reflective tarp it will keep your tent cool enough to actually sleep in some.

1) planning what and what not to bring.
2) on the camping and other forums doin research on what will make our camping and over all time that much better.( preparation is key)
3)getting in shape to party for 4 days straight, which includes cardio and staying up as long as possible partying.
4)went to sold out, packed, shows around me in NY (working through a cluster fucked crowd to the front on drugs was good prep I think lol)
5)research line up and count down to coachella and get as stoked as possible!!!

Playlist- Listening Daily/ Continually Adding new stuff (Research)
Car Maintenance - Gonna get the tires rotated and oil change b4 the big weekend
Hair - It's super long now, and I don't want it to be for Coachella. Trying to figure out how many inches to chop.
Clothing - I've bought a few things but have yet to settle on the most perfect comfy/cute looks quite yet.
Camp- This is my first year, trying to buy/borrow the basics, and make sure I don't forget anything important.
Fitness - Working on distance and endurance, trying to do between 5-10 miles on the treadmill every chance I get.
Life- Working my ass off now at both my jobs so they can't have any complaints when I peace out for a week and come back maybe slightly still hungover/tired/sunburnt/deaf/sore/dirty.
Sleep- trying to get used to 4 or less hours a night. I usually only get 6 anyways.
Education- Trying to prepare my sister for the amzeballsness of Coachella (there aren't quite enough words to express it properly) as this will be her first time.

I have been a bit lax through February, but now that my layaway is officially paid off, I will be kicking this shit into high gear!

I am trying to get to Floting Weight

I am one of those people like to crowd surf and I always had good experiances at concerts, but at Coachella 09 was a bad experiance for me.

leading up to the festival I was partying almost every weekend loading up on empty calories and California Burritos and although I was not fat, I did tilt the scale at 180lbs. not bad for a guy 6ft tall. But in the world of crowd surfing It was the equivalant to a small manatee. I could tell that It was not a plesent experiance when I could clearly see that people were having trubble keeping my mid section aflote.

I came to the conclusion that 180lbs is to heavy for people to be able to collectively lift a body overhead. My conclusion is that to maximize both crowd and flotee pesure the maximum wight for crowd surfing is 165lbs*

Since January I have been heting the treadmil and am now at a respectful 166Lbs.

Thanks, and I don't think I am going to crowd surf this year due to the fact that my GF does not approve of it. but I still like to to get to floting weight just to know that I can if I want (or want to piss her off).

I think this should go for anyone, I hate trying to watch an artist perform and unexpectedly getting kicked in the head. Especially at Coachella, I don't want a 200 pound shirtless dude's sweaty tits falling on my head.
