This really needs to come back to the states...
This really needs to come back to the states...
The entire sunrise set at Starscape a few weeks ago. He tore the fuck down for only like 100 people still awake.
^^^^^^
Nice!!!
Can we have him back next year? Sucks that my music tastes changed right after Coachella and a lot of the DJ's that I really like were at Coachella this year.
The whole album is now streaming here.

Yes. Thank you for the link.
Nice. Thank you for the heads up.
Sweeeeeeet
EDIT: guys (and gals), this album is the shit; I'm amazed and quite happy with how varied it is in terms of the styles he utilizes, and the album demonstrates a real growth in his sound and approach as compared to what we heard in the EPs.

I agree. I've given it a couple listens this morning. He nails the rnb sound that's heavily applied in a lot of garage and dubstep but makes it sound good. His drum work in a lot of the tracks is pretty fucking good. The vocalists are also ace.
Now to finally get around to the new Zomby.
One listen and I absolutely love it.
I am diggin the new album. I also love how he integrates a much harder style into his live sets

It's pretty impressive. Might be top 10 of the year for me so far. I've already listened to it 3 times, and I usually don't spend that much time with an album right away.
This albums keeps getting better and better for me.

I was wondering who the various vocalists were on this album.
Question answered here:

After listening to this album daily on grooveshark I finally went and bought the album, makes such a difference to hear it on nice speakers and not the dinky ass macbook ones. I am in love. Not a song on the album that disagrees with me.
Can't help but wonder if he has any association with the Gorillaz, as Little Dragon and Roses Gabor both toured with them? He also did a Superfast Jellyfish instrumental remix a while back that I'm finding impossible to find.
So his set at Camp Bisco was absolutely phenomenal. He is one of the best live DJ's I've ever seen. Complete control and absolute perfect timing. Skrillex and his posse came out during his set in the VIP area to watch which I find hilarious. SBTRKT then raged so hard he went past his time limit and kept getting bugged by the sound guys to cut it off. He would slowly chill down, then just drop back into fire like 5 times in a row. Here is a crappy video of the sound guys freaking out.
I've never seen anyone rage out so hard for like 300 people in the middle of the day. Hes a fucking animal, easily becoming one of my favorite new artists. BTW the Bisco set was at least 4 times better than the starscape one I filmed, so if you think that is good, go see him in a better setting.
With a little more research pretty sure he's this bloke Aaron Jerome.

Could be wrong but both artists use acoustic drumming, similar influences and styles.
