Coachella 07 (the introduction), 08 (the bands), 09 (the documentary), 10 (the people i came with), 11 (the relationship test... we passed), 12 (whatever the weather, Dirty Epic forever), 13 (taking the good with the bad)
- PEARL JAM WHY YOU HATE COACHELLA? -
He should headline The Official 2011 Gay Orgy®, after the Keynote Speaker, of course.
maybe la quinta. but not coachella; way too tacky.
no but seriously, elton john is more than welcome at coachella. i think he'd be FABULOUSSSSS
I got tickets to see him May 6 in the small city of Duluth MN. He is playing in an arena that seats 7,500 people. Can't fucking wait.
He would be a for sure headliner at any festival.

yeah you homophobe. you should be spending less time flaming an appropriately categorized thread for no reason and more time in this thread: http://www.coachella.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43197
306 is a hefty price. The most expensive tix here are 129+tax, which I bought 2 of. They had 79 dollar tickets as well and I read that there were even 29 dollar tickets. Best thing about the arena is that there isn't a bad seat in the place.
I'd love to see him headline a day of Coachella. Much stronger IMO than a lot of bands that have done so over recent years. I haven't seen him for a few years now but last time I did he was fantastic.
I already said it, and I will say it again. Elton John would melt faces at Coachella. Not likely at all, but it would add a little epic-ness to this coachella.
1. Run to a nice patch of grass on the fields and lay face down.
2. Tilt your head ninety degrees with your forehead temple resting on your forearm and watch people through the vision pocket right underneath your armpit hair.
3. Do this for a few hours until you get comfortable.
A Daft Punk thread containing 'nothing of substance'. How bout that.
Elton John could (and should) definitely headline Coachella. I saw him play a 90 minute set last month at a private fundraiser, to a crowd of about 750 people. AMAZINGNESS!!
I saw him in SD last year and he was good, not mind-blowing. He wouldn't be able to put on the show that McCartney or Waters did. He'd be a pretty cool headliner, I'd see him, but not a must-see if you've seen him already.
I guess the price is higher in certain markets. Elton played in Columbia at the basketball arena in 2007, all the seats on the lower level were about $95 and the cheap ones were like $60. We sat in the cheap seats, and it was still a great show.
I wouldn't complain if Elton headlined Coachella.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.
meh, would not be interested seeing him at coachella. If I really wanted to see him I would go to vegas. If there is going to be a geezer act at coahcella it should at least be someone elusive that never tours. A good exsample although not a headliner is donovan.
id take him over KOL in a heartbeat
Stevie Wonder, Jurassic 5!!, Magnetic Man, Pogo, Tycho, Tears for Fears 2013

4:15 of this clip from 1995 says he'd never do festivals ever again, which generally seems to be true. The rest of the clip is entertaining to watch Elton have a Kanye like meltdown over his monitor mix and festival cameramen capturing his teleprompter.
Yeah, this is not really an arguable point. He'd be great, and even if you don't like him you can't say he's not a big enough or respected enough artist.
