I am a fan of both. And Music lovers should be too.

How many people really wish there is NO conflict between these two?

If you can't realize the artist that KANYE is then you are not in tune with that AMERICA has been going through this last 20years.

Its slow and some kind of nature and soul that focuses on money and focuses on a goal of money and recognition. (I, as an AMERICAN feel this superficial achievement coming through more and more in music because music is supposed to be truthful. And If I don't feel people telling the truth then I feel inclined to type it out what it is I feel OPPOSED to that ideal...

The Strokes I hope put more dates on tour before COACHELLA. In which case I could ignore them at the fest and concentrate on the more extravagant performers.

I saw Kanye West headline Street Scene San Diego in 2006 and that is why I haven't seen him or really cared for him since. He bitched and complained the entire time about everything. He wouldn't performe entire songs and he was just basically impossible to watch. We left half way through his set. I would be much more inclined to watch Kanye if he had a dj set. Or if some dj was just playing his hits. Seriously, save the drama for your mama.

On the other hand I saw the Strokes subheadline Lollapolloza last year and they were fantastic! Personally, I love the Strokes' and Kanye's records but I would rather watch the Strokes live any day. If they conflict one would be a fool to take the risk on Kanye...like his lyrics even say "You should be honored by my lateness. That I would even show up to this fake shit". I just think that it's great that he'll be closing the festival because if he starts to fuss then people can just leave early.

I hope there's a major conflict between the two. I'd love it if Kanye drew a ton of people away from The Strokes to avoid a ginormous crowd. But really, why would there be a schedule conflict? I don't think that would make sense.

i dnt think there will be a conflict, but anything can happen tho cuz last year tiesto went after muse on the main stage and muse was headlining, there was like a 2hr gap between their sets tho...but i will never see kanye although i do like his music, he is a giant douche.
