Hahahaha, no way Chris went. Its funny because its believable.

Oct 21- Portishead- Berkeley Greek
Nov 18- Pixies- Fox Theater Bakersfield
if there is a gig, then score. but if it just some art/media installation or announcement, then this may qualify for epic fanboy failure.
Yeah, here's a list of what I can remember he did during the encores of those Atoms for Peace shows, and they're all probably likely candidates for the new album:
Lotus Flower (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJdQRk3CukM)
Super Collider (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IgeH0YUsIQ)
Mouse Dog Bird (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIMCO-s2gKc)
Open the Floodgates (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiPTuartURE)
The Present Tense (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmbg3Z0x6jQ)
He also revitalized the old song I Froze Up at one of his one off solo shows last year
How much was the In Rainbows discbox when it came out?
i think 80? but it might have been 60. it was a round number.
I think it was around 80 with shipping. The dollar was pretty weak that year against the pound.
It was 80.

I really hope the new album is 100% new material. I wasn't particularly crazy about any of those solo Thom songs.
me neither. not at all. in fact, i would probably detest the album if those songs were any indication.
I wasn't particularly crazy about Twisted Words either.
i think twisted words was better than the vast majority of in rainbows... i'd be pleased as punch if that was the direction they were headed... throw in more of a cuttooth vibe and that would pretty much be the best post-kid a scenario in my book.
Hmm... Am I remembering Twisted Words correctly?... Alright, I just listened to it and I am. "Twisted Words" reminds me more of a crappy Weird Fishes or Jigsaw than something like Cuttooth (which I love by the way). I just don't like how Twisted Words feels like it doesn't really go anywhere... It's seems like a half-complete idea to me.

it's definitely got the krautrock thing going on that cuttooth does (and the production is similarly awesome)... but it definitely doesn't have the strong song structure that is in cuttooth; it's a bit more aimless. which i don't mind (i wouldn't want a full album of it though).
i'm just hoping it sounds something more like Kid A / Amnesiac and less like In Rainbows.
..but I kind of doubt that'll happen.
I bet it sounds like Vangelis.
Wrong. It's already Friday over there.
What a fool, he's doing it all wrong.
I went to one of their preview shows in San Diego when they were showing off the material that would become In Rainbows and didn't really care for much of it at the time. Of course after the record came out, I fell in love immediately.
I'm not sure about anyone else, but for me this is a band I generally have to be familiar with the tunes they're playing live to enjoy it. So if they do choose tracks Thom played on the Atoms... tour, I have no doubt they will be divine.
"It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge"
Radiohead has a huge amount of B-sides and unreleased material, all of those song already mentioned could be just that....
Alright, ya'll talked me into it. Hope it's more OK than IR... but I doubt it will be.
I'm a sucker for collectibles.
I was hoping nobody would take that bait.
So, there's going to be some sort of broadcast or what?
Probably something to do with all the giant video screens there.
