So I got into vinyl after In Rainbows had come out, so I never was interested in the box set when available. Could anyone post pictures of the set or point to some pictures online. I might be interested in tracking one down for the original price or less that you all are talking about.
The real treat wasn't the vinyl, it was the extra cd with songs not on the regular release. Very nicely put together, but when I listen to in rainbows, I usually put on the 12" lp. It really sounds about the same as the 45's with fewer flips.

Thanks koryp, appreciate it. I already have the extra cd songs in flac, so I might just pick up the normal 12' if there really isn't too big a difference. I do like less flips, always forget about that. Unless I can find one of these sets for cheap, but ebay isn't helping at the moment.
for what it is worth, the 2LP is pressed at 45RPM and is one of the best sounding recently pressed mainstream rock records i've heard...
Hrmmm best 45's ever vs. about the same at the 12' version. If I can find one for $80 or so I'll get that. Will look around. But pre-ordered the new set. Sucker for the clear/colored stuff and am intrigued by the newspaper idea.
You wont find an IR box set for cheap, thats for sure. Despite there being 75,000 of those made, it still holds quite a high resale value.
I don't mean to downplay the quality of the boxset. It's probably the third or fourth best box set I've gotten in the last two years. I will always preorder radiohead box sets when they put them out. The 45's do sound slightly better than the 12", but not the same level of improvement you get going from cd to lp. I have to really listen critically to hear the difference.

Even though others posted on the last page seeing them for the original price or close. I'm sure it wont be easy, but I'm sure there are some out there.

Japanese to English translation
Hachiko Square Shibuya, 59 minutes at 18 Friday
Radiohead just tweeted:
渋谷 ハチ公広場 金曜日 18時59分
freetranslation translates that to: Shibuya Hachiko open space on Friday 18:59
Can anyone here speak Japanese and provide a more accurate translation?

“Hachiko Square Shibuya, 59 minutes at 18 Friday” is the correct translation. So what does it mean...?
Well, Hachiko Square is in Tokyo. Hmmm.

oh?? did you hear that!? DID YOU FUCKING HEAR THAT!?!?
Yup. I've seen them on sale for $80 in stores in the past, and even as recent as TUESDAY I saw an opened In Rainbows boxed set from a store over here for $100. They're out there!
Edited to add:
Check out Amazon. $100 + $2.98 shipping.

"BUT IT'S CALLED CALL AND OATES YOU NO FUN IDIOT"- Drinkey, standing up for Rich Girls everywhere
NME says it's not a show
Maybe a webcast type of deal, or just something artsy-fartsy in relation to the album. I doubt it's a tracklist.
wait, sasha... are you serious? did he really fly to japan?

so I'm not going to trace back 11 pages of "ZOMG" posts to possibly figure this out. Has there been any indication of tracks, or more specifically, any working songs that are currently unreleased/tested live, that may be on the album? I haven't been keeping up with the setlists.
A simple "No" or "Yes (followed with more info)" would be perfect.
