Sources say Goldenvoice chief Paul Tollett sold 180,000 tickets for the two weekends at an average of $300 a pop, earning the company a whopping $54 million gross. Am I the only one who finds the RH/Dre numbers kinda low?

I can believe the profit sharing model as both acts put their "brand" on the line if ticket sales flatlined. Led Zeppelin had 50,000 unsold tickets in 1979 when they played 2 consecuative Saturdays at Knebworth(booked as worldwide exclusive venue for that year).

Prince/McCartney/Eminem have each been rumoured to get well north of $3mil for festival appearances int he past couple years. DRE/RH have to do twice the the work to get a similar paycheck? Note that RH grossed $4.7mil for the pair of Mexico shows. RH also handcuffed themselves with the number of SoCal shows they could play. Plus they had to commit 9 months in advance.

Gross intake for GV must be north of $80mil between ticket sales, camping passes, shuttle passes, hotel packages, booze, concession, festival merch and parking.

I know it's been up since this morning but WASTE released more tickets for most of 3rd leg shows. My friend just got Boston tickets 20 minutes ago so I would keep trying for those that are looking for tickets!

So...

we just went to the comcast center to queue - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in line - and we were told the police absolutely will not have anyone on the property until it opens at 4pm. we actually called the mansfield police department to ask, and they sent a cop over to talk to us. he told us that absolutely no one will be allowed on and anyone who shows up will be thrown off, no matter what.

we plan to stick around in the area and periodically check around, but there aren't many alternative lining up options near by - or even much public parking.

just a heads up for anyone planning to try to queue...
