jaar album has completely taken over my corner of the earth. the range and marriage of genres is vast for such a cohesive piece... i'm finding it sort of miraculous how it compounds. ray charles is fucking awesome. the bubbly luquidy effects are amazing over sax and piano, more unorthodox sampling... this one's not getting old for me aaanytime soon

a bit of an older release--this was unleashed in october of 2010
i'm posting it because i think some of you will like it. this album is not quite to the caliber i consider long arm / jaar to be for 2011, but overall, a very solid album. if you like heady bass intermingled with sporadic, well-placed dreamwave vocal melodies, check it. make love to your old lady to it. meditate. chop. makes for decent driving music, too.
well-rounded contribution to the new-age trip hop revival. it gets a little thin in some areas, but it's worthy.
let me know if you like it!

oh, so you don't want to listen to the album, you want a hand-picked one-track SSS?
now i'm even less motivated to post single tracks!

i am a little crazy yeah
but i wanted to post whole albums not songs. whole pieces, so to speak. i guess the first song on an album wouldn't be bad but i definitely wouldn't pick one.
