Are you under the impression that I closed my eyes, waved my hands over the internet, and divinely interpreted that the video you posted had a drumbeat I didn't appreciate? Because all other evidence would point to having listened to it first.
don't listen to darryl. it's 2011; follow my lead

i really grappled with whether to post this, but ultimately, the thread *will go on
this is from 2010, but i just now had the wherewithal to take in this album. got the first exposure with "muppet"--i didn't realize this was NT at that time. obscenely avante garde with a lot of really beautiful moments. i found the blatant appeal to counterculture endearing.
i'd poke around on youtube and see if you are curious enough for the whole album. i had no idea what to post (above). there's not a lot of instant gratification to this music. would be interested to hear any thoughtful reactions.

pleased to pass along this new release of theirs. if you are open-minded or a fan of more IDM and less hand-swat styles in this genre, seek this

a bit of downtempo detox is robag's 2011. eloquent layering worth your listen if you're into minimal. unexpected, though very very nice. excited to see him here in denver in a few weeks.
