Since it seems I can't go to SXSW or half of Sasquatch, this is looking like my second festival of the year. The lineup has some serious punch to it.

Anyone ever been to APF? This is only the fourth one they've held... not sure what to expect, other than ear-melting, candy-like sonic booms.

Just announced:

The Reverberation Appreciation Society and the Black Angels are happy to announce the 3rd round of lineup additions and further details for Austin Psych Fest 4, April 29th – May 1st, which is now confirmed as being held at the Seaholm Power Plant.

SEAHOLM POWER PLANT



The Seaholm Power Plant is located at 214 West Avenue in Austin, Texas, 78701. Here’s a link to the location on Google Maps.


We are extremely excited about the Seaholm Power Plant as it was our first choice of venue going into APF4 but due to construction plans by the city it became unavailable to us. Everything has now come full circle as the city has decided to postpone construction until the Summer and we have been given the green light. The Power Plant sits on the Colorado River in the heart of downtown Austin. This iconic structure will provide an amazing backdrop to a truly awesome weekend of music.

Austin Psych Fest is an all ages event. Under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Re-entry for 21+ only to comply with Texas law.

I'm in, obviously. I'm traveling with a buddy also from Cincy, but it'd be cool to shoot the breeze with a fellow Coachellian there as well.

Yeah, I've been wondering about that one as well - my guess would be some sort of huge one-off collaboration between a bunch of Austin-based artists. .... either that or some sort of mindf*ck with Jason Pierce. x a million
