I don't think Weezer SHOULD headline, just that GV has it in them to do a lot worse.
Oakenfold was on the Main Stage before Jane's? Wow, I must have missed that.
Why the fuck are you guys even talking about Weezer?
THE WHOLE POINT OF THE THREAD IS TO MENTION BANDS THAT WILL BE BIG ENOUGH TO HEADLINE IN FIVE YEARS, NOT BANDS THAT ARE ALREADY HEADLINER STATUS OR PAST THEIR PRIME.
I can't believe the blue album is 17 years old now.
2/9 SISU @ Echoplex, 2/14 Spiritualized @ Ace Hotel, 2/16 Kyary Pamyu Pamyu @ Club Nokia, 2/24 Cibo Matto @ El Rey, 3/21 St. Vincent @ Wiltern, 4/11-13 Coachella, 4/27 Ghost B.C. @ Fonda, 4/30 Mono @ Troubadour, 5/3 I Break Horses @ Bootleg Theater, 5/28-6/1 Primavera Sound, 6/22 Janelle Monae @ Hollywood Bowl
Everyone chill out.
For the record, I didn't bring up Weezer.

But here's why I brought it up: They just did did a respectable sized tour including two shows at the GibsonAmph at around 90 bucks per ticket). Right now they could bring some good revenue as headliners, plus it seems that goldevoice has been using that formula for the past three years with the Killers, Muse and KoL.

I would like it if Weezer headlined and just played Pinkerton in full.
Friday: Refused, WU LYF, M83, The Dear Hunter, Explosions in the Sky, Yuck, Neon Indian, Girls, Neon Indian
Saturday: Radiohead, Bon Iver, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, St. Vincent, Jeff Mangum, Destroyer, Flying Lotus, Azealia Banks, ASAP Rocky
Sunday: The Weeknd, Real Estate, Girl Talk, At the Drive-In, Florence and the Machine, Beirut, Justice, DJ Shadow, araabMUZIK
As we see in past 2 years the headliners of the future are as follow:
30 Seconds to mars (KOL, Muse )
Kasabian (ARCADE, Gorillaz...)
Lil Wayne (Kanye, JayZ...)

If Franz Ferdinand's next album is as strong as #1 & #3 I think they would be genuinely bumped to headliner status.
bookings like Lady Gaga and Li'l Wayne would actually do more to keep me at home than take me to Coachella.
