M.I.A. has 3 dedicated airhorn wranglers on her road crew
I caught some of MIA at Coachella 09 and didn't hate it. But I saw her again at Street Scene in San Diego and thought it was one of the worst performances I've ever seen. That plus she always plays for only like 45 mins and that's it. MIA would hopefully never headline.
Queens of the Stone Age could practically headline right now...another big album by them, and they are for sure headlining material....sorta like the FF's career has gone, their albums and hits (though shitty to my ears) just get bigger.
also on a related note, who is the shitty headliner for 2012? I've sorta feared Phoenix.
Outkast would seem like an obvious choice to me.
5/11/12 - Cloud Cult - El Rey // 5/23/13 & 5/24/13 - Boris - Echoplex // 6/7/13 + 6/8/13 - Jubilee Music Festival

I second Arctic Monkeys and add Franz Ferdinand. Could a Libertines reunion show headline? What about someone like the Presets? Justice with some production values?
M.I.A could not even headline Hard which got canceled. She will never headline. LoL Iggy I don't think you are good at detecting sarcasm.
Lupe >>> Kanye
Atmosphere. What tent/stage did he headline a couple years ago? He keeps getting bigger and has a great track record.
Avett Brothers. Come the fuck on. Anyone would pick them over Jack Johnson. They will only get bigger. If you can bitch at Avetts over me saying Mumford and Sons then you can kill yourself

LOL NERD, now you are just being rediculous!
Mumford and Sons. These guys have one album and they're on the second line. At that rate they could drop an EP towards the end of the year and be headlining Coachella 2012 just in time for the release of their greatest hits album.
