A group of us are flying into LA the day before the festival and then taking the bus to Indio. Friends were able to get a tent camping spot, but my gf and I were only able to get a car camping spot. So here is the dilemma:
Do I:
A) Trade for a tent pass? The only way I'm willing to do a trade is if it's in person and prior to the festival. Luckily my girl is a flight attendant so I can go almost anywhere in Canada and most major cities in the US for relatively cheap. Would love to camp with the friends and keep the party together. Downside of tent camping is having to keep food and gear to a minimum (because of no car), and bite whatever cost of meeting up to trade the ticket.
or
B) Find someone with a car to share the camp space with. This brings the advantages of possibly finding someone to bring gear, food, etc. to make camping more "comfortable," but unfortunately splitting the gang up.
Anyone done car and tent camping before? Thoughts? I went to chella in 06, but crashed in my friends van at an offsite campground. Everyone else in the crew are Coachella virgins, but have been to Roo a few times.
Appreciate the input!
