I think the trauma of the "Funeral" puns in the wake of Win Butler's demise would scar us all more than we perhaps realise. And yes, I would be very sad indeed.

But I think maybe I'd actually be most sad about James Murphy. And I'm not sure why, because it wouldn't be like I'd be hugely surprised to wake up one morning and hear he'd had a massive cocaine'n'groupies sex-heartattack. I mean, unless I was one of the groupies I suppose, I'm sure we would all be quite startled just as a gut reaction in that case.

I have a tendency to think that people should die in an epic fashion when they're young if they're huge stars, ie McCartney & Bowie. McCartney's new stuff is mostly adult soft rock that bores me. (Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Beatles but I like the drama of a good dramatic life haha).

Definitely either Win Butler or James Murphey. They're the two who I suspect still have a lot more amazing stuff to contriubte to the world creatively.
