If any of the people in the list were to suddenly die tomorrow, whose would you be most upset over?
I don't think I'd really notice McCartney or Gibbons.
The others would suck though.
I wouldn't miss you.
"Well, that's just like, you know... your opinion, man"
Nobody would miss Prince?
Poor Prince. Destined to be mourned only by the many hundreds of minions entombed alive within his burial palace in accordance with his final wishes.
i'd be pretty bummed if bowie died, but he's getting kinda old.
i voted for thom because radiohead still has a few good albums left in them that i want to hear
'03, '04, '05, '06, '09, '10, '11, 12...
...#9 is gonna be fine in 2013
I think the trauma of the "Funeral" puns in the wake of Win Butler's demise would scar us all more than we perhaps realise. And yes, I would be very sad indeed.
But I think maybe I'd actually be most sad about James Murphy. And I'm not sure why, because it wouldn't be like I'd be hugely surprised to wake up one morning and hear he'd had a massive cocaine'n'groupies sex-heartattack. I mean, unless I was one of the groupies I suppose, I'm sure we would all be quite startled just as a gut reaction in that case.
It's because he's so adorable, is what it is.
Also, I'm pretty sure Bjork can't perceptibly age or die, so I don't think we have to worry about that.
I have a tendency to think that people should die in an epic fashion when they're young if they're huge stars, ie McCartney & Bowie. McCartney's new stuff is mostly adult soft rock that bores me. (Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Beatles but I like the drama of a good dramatic life haha).
had to vote yorke
Man, imagine how sad a Radiohead funeral would be.
Exit Music (For a Funeral)
I would have said Thom Yorke, but that would have been pre-In Rainbows.
I voted Yorke, but that was before I noticed Murphy. Murphy would devastate me.
Friday: Titus Andronicus
the Black Keys - OFWGKTA
Brandon Flowers - Sleigh Bells - Cut Copy
Crystal Castles - Cold War Kids - Glasser
Saturday: Arcade Fire
Foals - Freelance Whales
Animal Collective - Cage the Elephant - Wire
Two Door Cinema Club - the Kills - Elbow
Sunday: Kanye West
the National - Death from Above 1979
Phantogram - the Strokes - HEALTH
Menomena - Ratatat - Twin Shadow
I wouldn't blink an eye at anyone but...
Thom Yorke is too easy. The freak with a voice gets my vote.
"Without music life would be a mistake" ~Nietzsche
I voted Win because he's the youngest and he seems healthy, so I would be the most surprised and upset.
I have fonder feelings for Murphy, but I also sort of wouldn't be as shocked.
i've seen everybody on that list except three. of the three i haven't seen yet (bowie, pj harvey, karin dreijer andersson), bowie's the one i want to see the most. he got my vote.
Can you actually imagine Prince's funeral? It'd make Micheal Jackson's look like a flea circus.
Definitely either Win Butler or James Murphey. They're the two who I suspect still have a lot more amazing stuff to contriubte to the world creatively.
I suppose Win does have the benefit of more friends and family in the public eye to generate a bit of extra proxy grief too, and he does seem pretty fit and healthy compared to some of the others.
Oh shit, I hope him and James Murphy never travel by the same plane/ car.
Thom's name in this poll has already made me upset
All of you are all seriously wet in ass for thom yorke.
