I wasn't planning on seeing Yelle.. but now that she may be in the Sahara, and it may be early in the day.. I will TOTALLY see her. I'll dance my ass off to some French electro-pop
The Twelves are are the only DJs I'm looking forward to seeing. Toss in EOTS, Shpongle and a fleeting but I'll-prbably-be-too-drunk-and-indifferent-to-make-their-set-interest in Yelle, Laidback Luke, and Steve Angelo. Bah, I might be forced to watch a bunch of sets with guitars and drums and stuff.
Big thank you to Clumsy for doing this again this year![]()
Gutted as Elbow clashes with Foals..nooo
I'm gonna call:
- Tallest Man in the Gobi at night
- Erykah in the Mojave
- Scissor Sisters closing the Outdoor
I dunno. Erykah has a huge ass band. It would be a tight squeeze.
Edit:
She was on the main at Roo in '09. Not that that means anything really, but. You know. Whatever.
Full sets in bold
Love Language> The Twelves>The Joy Formidable>Joachim>Mariachi El Bronx>Yelle>Trampled By Turtles>Tallest Man>Elbow>Foals>Gogol>One Day as a Lion>Bright Eyes>The Kills>Big Audio Dynamite>New Pornos>Steve Angello>Suede>Arcade Fire
12s
Joy Formidable
Yelle
Tallest Man
Elbow
One Day as a Lion
Radio Dept.
Wire
New Pornos
BSS
Erykah
The Twleves > Mariachi El Bronx > Two Door Cinema Club > Trampled by Turtles > Elbow > SBTRKT > DJ Marky > The New Pornographers > Broken Social Scene > Arcade Fire > Daedelus (if he's still on)
My personal set time predictions look a little different, but using this list, here's my day: (open) > The Joy Formidable > probably Thao > J&J > Tallest > Elbow > Gogol > Bright (early) / The Kills / Wire (bad conflict for me) > BAD / New P*rn > Suede > Arcade Fire
I'd definitely leave Bright Eyes early for The Kills, but would hate to leave them for Wire. That would be a bad conflict for me. I'd likely have to split sets for BAD and The New P*rnographers too.
If this were to be true, then:
11:30 - end: Arcade Fire
10:00 - 10:55: Animal Collective
9:30 - 9:50: Empire of the Sun
8:40 - 9:30: Mumford & Sons
7:50 - 8:20: The Kills
7:25 - 7:50: Bright Eyes
6:30 - 7:25: Fedde Le Grand
6:10 - 6:30: Foals
5:20 - 6:10: Elbow
4:00 - 4:50: The Tallest Man on Earth
3:00 - 3:50: Yelle
12:35 - 1:40: The Twelves
The Love Language
Cults
Mariachi El Bronx
Elbow/Foals
One Day As A Lion
Shpongle/Wire
Big Audio Dynamite
Animal Collective
Broken Social Scene/EE
Arcade Fire
I would definitely be cool with this schedule.
The Henry Clay People > Cults > Two Door Cinema Club > Rest of Jenny and Johnny > Cage The Elephant > Delta Spirit > One Day as a Lion > Bright Eyes > Mumford & Sons > The New Pornographers > The London Suede > Arcade Fire
Might watch the end of Gogol Bordello instead of One Day as a Lion so I can get a good spot for Bright Eyes.
I was doing good until this weekend, but now I am going crazy waiting for the set times. Hopefully we will have them by this time tomorrow night.
Same here. I went ridiculous on Friday, reading the set time predictions threads and agonizing over conflicts as if they were real. I've probably stated it before but I wish Goldenvoice would give us set times by the Friday before so we could have a full week before the festival to analyze the set times and second guess who we were going to see and perhaps even get in a bit more research should there be periods of time during which we don't have anybody we particularly care about seeing. The especially shitty thing is I need to be "game on" at work the next couple of days and wanting to check the board every 5 minutes will really hinder that.
Thirded, and all while trying to focus on a paper. This is a sickness.
Mariachi El Bronx
/Two Door Cinema Club
The Tallest Man on Earth
Gogol Bordello
Bright Eyes
Mumford & Sons
Animal Collective
Arcade Fire
/Daedalus
Goddamn that would suck missing Lil B and BSS.
12/6: Japandroids/DIIV
1/10: Mister Lies/Matthewdavid
Were this the real schedule this would be my day-
The Love Language> The Cults> Thao with the Get Down Stay Down> Freelance Whales> Two Door Cinema Club> Jenny and Johnny> (25 minute drink run to the campsite)> Cage the Elephant> Elbow> Delta Spirit> Gogol Bordello> One Day as a Lion> Bright Eyes> (Dinner Break)> Mumford and Sons> Big Audio Dynamite> Animal Collective> The London Suede> Arcade Fire...
Dear God, I'm exhausted just putting that list together.
I think Two Door Cinema Club is gonna be in Mojave. A stage seems to big for them and they have a dancy sound.
finally got a response back from Wire
"8.40 PM on the Gobi stage is the latest we have."
so the time is close to the prediction, but wrong stage
Nice find
