I'm planning on moving Erykah Badu down a bit. I still don't really see where you're coming from on BAD being a the best choice to close the Mojave. I mean, it's Mick Jones, right? and a reunion?

Also, Gogol is ok where they are, i guess. but it just seems like filler that way. as opposed to bringing them back and giving them a spot they can thrive in, they would just be stuck there to kill time, sound shitty, and expel a ridiculous amount of energy for that early in the day.

We have discussed this already. "Headlining" doesnt mean closing. Who headlined Saturday last year, Tiesto or Muse?

They said they were "headlining" the Sahara. Which doesn't mean closing it out necessarily as we've seen in prior years. And it has been strongly hinted (in fact blatantly pointed out to us) that Shpongle will close the Sahara.

    8/16: Anthony Naples, Maxmillion Dunbar @ f8
8/18: Man Man @ The Chapel
    8/23-8/24: FYF Fest
8/30: Peaking Lights @ The Chapel
9/3: Bear in Heaven @ The Independent
    9/24 - 28: Decibel Festival
10/5: The War on Drugs, Cass McCombs @ The Fillmore
    10/18-19: Treasure Island Music Festival

Brad said, somewhat indirectly, that Shpongle are closing the Sahara.

much more realistic IMO. I think the BAD/Suede/Kills/AF slots are spot on.

one day as lion > into BAD on main
Like street sweeper > specials last year. basically same billing as BAD
    Outdoor = BSS> Kills > Suede > mumford > eots
Kills and suede could switch if needed

Hey, clumsy, I tried my best to do a Pure Filth schedule based on what Sam has confirmed so far. It's pretty loaded for Sunday, and not as loaded the other 2 days, so I did my best. I think it would be good to have times and order for place holders and discussion right now.

    Saturday

    Lil' B 11:45-12:55
    DJ Hype 10:35-11:35
    DJ Marky 9:25-10:25
    Andy C 8:15-9:15
    SBTRKT 7:05-8:05
    Mary Anne Hobbs 5:55-6:55
    Alf Alpha 4:45-5:45
    Ras G 3:35-4:35
    DJ Kentaro 2:25-3:25

I think Lil B will close, just based upon his billing. And even if he doesn't he's still far too early.

Good work on adding the times though.

    FYF - 8/23, 8/24
    Ty Segall - 8/29 - The Echo
    Outkast + Lil B - 9/20 - NOS Events Center
    Massive Attack - 10/16 - Greek Theatre
Queens Of The Stone Age - 10/31 - The Forum
    OFWGKTA Carnival - 11/8
    Coachella '15 - 4/10-4/12

I think knocking out possible set times is most of the battle, and something clumsy may not have wanted to deal with since he was working on 5 other stages. Admittedly, I didn't look at the main poster when I did this. Thanks for the feedback.

I'm sure Pure Filth will add artists to Friday and Saturday, that's why I left room at the beginning of the day.

Edit: I made it more in line with the poster.

Not liking the Elbow/Animal Collective/Foals/New Pornographers mega conflict at all...hope those acts end up a touch more spaced out but if holds...

Elbow and Foals get full sets, catch a touch of AC and New Pornographers lose out.

Hopefully Foals goes much earlier in day.

Well... I just got some surprising news. Looks like Jesse was right.

I e-mailed Gogol Bordello last night and I just recieved a response.

    Hi Josh,

    Main stage on Saturday

    Best,
    VW
    TAG
So, uh. I guess put Gogol on the mainstage. Super lame.

EDIT: That was an e-mail from their booking. I just recieved another e-mail from their management (yes, I e-mailed both)... and management said they haven't been told yet... but he said it will probably be a different stage than last time. So now I am just confused.

I really think Gogol will be outdoor. Too big for a tent now, but mainstage clearly didn't work. Outdoor could be perfect.

Im just confused that their management said one thing and their booking said another. Maybe they told booking and no one bothered to tell management? Or maybe booking is just assuming they will be mainstage?

Maybe by "main stage," they really mean that they're not playing a tent. This, combined with the manager's suggestion of a different stage, would support the Outdoor Stage.

Am I missing something? What about main stage didn't work last time? I thought their 08 set was awesome.
