question regarding bringing alcohol

I am going to be camping with my boyfriend, taking my car. He will be 21 as of April 8, I won't be 21 until July. If we bring beer, do you think we'll have a problem getting it in since I'm not 'of age'? I know it says under the camping FAQ that if anyone in the vehicle is under 21 and there's alcohol in the car, the vehicle may be denied entry, but that sounds pretty extreme...has anyone had experience with this kind of situation? Did they ask for your ID when searching your car? Was it okay to bring beer as long as one person in the group was 21? I was under the impression that the maximum amount of beer allowed is one case per 21 year old person - so would we be okay, since my boyfriend will be 21? I'm interested to hear your experiences from last year. Thanks

That's a good idea, but how does that work exactly? Wouldn't I need to have a camping pass too? I don't remember seeing a place for people without cars to get searched....or would I just walk up to the same line and tell them I was meeting people inside? Thanks for the input so far

All you have to do is get out and walk through the entrance wearing your festival pass. The festival pass gets you in. After your bf goes through with the car, meet up with him and have a great weekend.

I rolled in with underage people and with more cases than we were supposed to have. No one checked IDs or complained about having too much beer. But you really can just walk in separately and have him go in alone to be on the safe side.
