Yes, we wouldn't want a potential people's revolution to interfere with a Canadian's vacation.

It is actually my fiancee and I's honeymoon. We have been wanting to go to Egypt forever and we both just dropped a couple grand on flights/accomodate/travel/etc and it would be a huge disapointment to us both if the trip was cancelled. We have been working extremely hard to make this trip a reality.

Will be very interesting to see the US stance on this. The White House and State Dept have already postponed their press meetings, the White House is saying that they are waiting on Mubarak to issue a statement. Will the White House side with the people and their demand for new leadership or will they side with Mubarak in order to reserve the current relationship with Egypt (ally of US and Israel, considering its the largest Islamic country thats a BIG deal).

(The folks in Big Fat Gypsy Wedding would be Travellers. They are a distinct cultural and ethnic group with distinct customs and dialect of their own to match.
