Thread: Did the Death of Street Scene Contribute to the Fast Sell Out?

Maybe this is a stretch, but maybe part of the reason Coachella sold out so fast, is that the Coachella-equivalent festival of San Diego, Street Scene, bit the bullet last year. At it's height of popularity, Street Scene had around 90,000 attendees. So now San Diegans have no festivals to go to and Street Scene used to have a lot of Coachella spill-over bands. Maybe a good portion of ticketbuyers are these people who are now festival-less.

    Just a thought....

I read a statistic that they had 90k people in 2004 when it was in the Petco parking lot. I was there, it was pretty damn crowded.

I miss street scene, but it's not even close to coachella.
