Thread: Day Parking

    Question Day Parking

I'll be camping off-site and I plan on using the day parking lot. The FAQ says "There will be plenty of parking adjacent to the festival grounds," but I am wondering exactly how close these parking lots are to the festival grounds. Is it a short walk or a couple of miles?

Also, I read that Ins & Outs are ok this year, so does that mean I'm free to go back and forth to my car during the festival?

Obviously this is my first Coachella...

last year to the adjacent lots it was a sizable walk but nothing to complain about.. im sure you could end up alot closer or alot further depending on when you get there. so really this post means nothing

As you drive towards Coachella you will see signs for day parking even on the main street in Indio, you won't get lost or not find it, its very hard to miss just follow all the cars! The walks aren't really bad they are close enough and goes by real quick. Just have something to drink while you're walking!

Ins & outs are allowed just make sure you have your wristband on, you can go from the campgrounds and back in. I wouldn't suggest leaving in your car and then coming back, you would be in for a huge clusterfuck trying to get out and get back in the same day

Yeah, the walk isn't so bad. I don't think the reentry rule has been set yet.

I wasn't even considering leaving in my car and trying to come back during the festival, more like going back to it to pick up/drop off stuff.

Its doable but can be a trek from wherever you park, I've never done it but I have gotten a locker before to keep jackets etc. so worth it if you're worried about having a place to put stuff!

I'm not aware of specific hours listed anywhere, but festival gates open at 11 am and there is no overnight parking. I would guess Parking will be open by at least 10 am and good to 2 am, but those are just guesses. Day parking people can enter the Camping area and hit the Farmer's Market or eat so makes sense they would open day parking much earlier than festival gates.
