Yes they were the only band that played in 1999. Thank you for pointing that out. The festival was originally called Rage Against the Machinella, but when they broke up in 2000, GV thought it would be a bit silly.

I would have sold my soul to see Rage live. finding out today is a dream come true for sure. I'm coming from Ireland just to see them. I'm vocalist in a Rage tribute, so needless to say I'm a bit of a fan. I never in a million years thought I'd have the chance to see my favourite band in history.

I'm so fucking pumped for RHCP, and most of all Rage. Hoooly shit that crowd is gonna be insane. Especially since there's a possibility of it being their last show ever. Myself and many I know would probably be skipping Coachella if Rage wasn't playing.

I wanted to go to the first festival so bad but my Dad was going out of town and My mom was going to be left alone if I went and being the momma's boy I am, I just couldn't leave her. Especially since she asked me not to go. The next year I went and it was really good but i've always wanted to see one of my favorite bands at coachella. And then they go and break up..and become 3/4 of a shitty band, IMO. Now............I'm going to see Rage Against the Machine at Coachella!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I knoooow! Seriously the night before I heard Rage was playing I told my friends "I wish I was born five years earlier so I could have seen Rage at my age." It was unreal to hear that they were playing. Anyone that wants to bitch because Rage is going can suck it.

I'm glad you can determine I'm a hipster because of ONE band I don't care for. I have thoroughly enjoyed 5 of the 6 previous headliners the past 3 years. I'd think that makes me the farthest thing from a hipster, really.

...the thing is....if Rage is really only playing this one reunion show, not only is Sunday gonna sell out quick....but it is gonna be packed solid with rage fans. people are gonna come from around the country and around the world to see them play.
