Question Advice for first time camper?

    greetings,

I've been to Coachella, but this will be my first year camping.

Aside from the essentials (toiletries, towel, shower shoes, etc) and suggestions as what to bring and what not to bring for camping?

thanks for any and all help!

You're camping at Coachella? Congratulations! Camping is a wonderful experience. In case you didn't know, Coachella has had camping for quite some time now. There are plenty of threads that have covered this topic at least 10 times per year. If you use the search button found up near the right corner of the page, you'll find plenty of reading and information already available. Please try that before you post. Thanks.

forget about showering unless you get up super early and keen to wait in line for a very long time haha i was pretty lucky i had 2 showers in 4 days, usually we would just get the melted ice in the esky and put it over our heads in the morning haha

    You'll need a camping pass.

This advice seems to be coming from someone who has only been there in 2010. They dropped the ball last year; I don't believe they're going to fuck up like that again.

But the advice about showers still remains: If it's an inconvenient time for you, it's probably best to go then since it'll be a bad time for everyone else (IE, the buttcrack of dawn, an hour or so before the end of the night, etc)

Get there early. If it's like last year, expect to spend a half day in a parking lot of a line. Bring spare phone/camera batteries unless you wanna spend an hour fighting over a spot at the charging station.... that's all I can think of at the moment.
