After reading many pages of this thread, in my view, this is appropriate:
Please just read this post.
Everyone is, obviously, entitled to their own opinion and tastes, it's what makes us unique. If we all liked/hated the same things, the world would be a pretty boring place to live in -- correct? Skrillex; you either like him or hate him. But I don't think there's the need to act like five year-olds, is there?
What do I mean?
I can't be bothered to go through the thread and pick out the best examples... but I'm sure you understand what I'm on about.
EVERYONE... please, just grow up and respect people's musical tastes. Skrillex is a producer. Not a DJ. The reason he has a laptop, MIDI controllers, and doesn't use equipment such as decks (at least I don't think he does) or turntables is because he isn't a DJ. He's a producer. He started off in screamo band "From First to Last" as lead vocalist, left, did some solo work as Sonny Moore, then decided to experiment with electro and some dubstep beats/synths and got popular. So popular, he got asked by deadmau5 to sign to his record label.

Skrillex didn't ruin dubstep, he didn't put shame to the dubstep scene -- do you know why? Because he doesn't produce dubstep. Skrillex has his own style, but it's certainly not dubstep. He uses a lot of dubstep-like beats, but his music is mainly brostep and complextro. Every artist has their own unique style, as does Skrillex... some hate it, some like it... but there really isn't the need for this thread. Nobody gives a flying fuck whether you hate Skrillex or not, and nobody ever will. You (the reader), have your own musical tastes, likes/dislikes, but nobody cares about them at all. Your taste is yours, keep it to yourself and don't create a 56 page thread bitching about why exactly you dislike Skrillex.
If everyone had the same attitude as some people on this thread, music would never evolve.
My 2cents... perhaps more than 2cents.
