I liked some of the songs off bangarang - but his new track "leaving" is complete shit. EDM for the masses

Not that I enjoy his new album, but I was in the very least intrigued at his new sound. The only reason I gave it a listen is because someone described it as very different.
Has a pop icon ever so dramatically changed his sound? I listened to two tracks and there were zero chainsaws, and that song "leaving" is like he really tried hard at making good music. I am predicting that this is career suicide, but perhaps his fanbase is growing tired of dubstep right along with skrilly willy?
On a side note, fivers album was the exact same horseshit he has been headlining with for the last 4 years. If he is at Coachella as a headliner that would be a shame.
"How long will this last, this delicious feeling of being alive, of having penetrated the veil which hides beauty and the wonders of celestial vistas? It doesn't matter, as there can be nothing but gratitude for even a glimpse of what exists for those who can become open to it."
i can see the comparison to burial but lacks the lo-fi gritty textures burial is known for. Its not terrible, I'd listen to this over some brostep anyday.

The guy is a total fraud. He is unquestionably ruining British underground music. Taking any soul and feeling from Dubstep - now he is trying to wrench Burial's style that he created the best part of a decade ago and recyling it as his own. No one will EVER do it as good as Burial. Skrillex is a TWAT!

Skrillex kept Kanye-ing the end of people's sets all weekend lol
Ugh. You people are the worst. Fucking EDM hipsters. Constantly berating other people's "taste" because you can't contain your huge fucking egos. You sound like grandparents from the 80's. "Back in my day!" and "What is this devil music! BAAHHHH!"
This thread is just proof that you enjoy tearing apart music you don't like and ridiculing the people who feel differently, more than you enjoy praising and sharing the music that you do like. I feel sorry for all of you that can't enjoy music in its entirety because you're so worried about self-image and your incredibly refined musical taste. I also find it interesting that you all consider yourselves to be open-minded when in reality, you are so far from it.
Please don't bring your negativity to Coachella.
I am sure your input will be taken into consideration on the tail-end of a 2-year old 2500+ post thread.
