it appears as though if a seller rips you off (sells something they do not have). You just get you $$$ back.

At least with Stub Hub you are guaranteed to get a ticket (they make the seller pay the difference).

Shill bids can be spotted by reporting the item to ebay as a suspected shill bidded auction. If they find bids coming from the same IP address or a history of bids coming from the another IP address then they will investigate & determine wheter or not to issue a warning. If they are found guilty a second time they will lose their account(s). Of course if you go reporting numerous auctions to ebay & they find them all to be legit then your account will likely be the one to be terminated.

my guess is because most of the bids are occurring from buyers with ZERO feed back (ie they have never sold or bought anything on ebay).

most of the bids have a feedback of zero or one.

The last "real" bid might have been $222.50. Which is a big markup on a $15 pass BUT it seems possible. 405 by a bidder with a zero feedback score does not seem as possible.

I just took the time to go through some of the listings on eBay. There is a lot of of shill bidding going on ( I would say 80% above $350). It will be interesting to see where the the actual market value of these tickets is going to end up once the panic buyers are gone.

I think companion parking passes will be the big thing this year.

I guessing many people will team up and share a camping spot. BUT in some cases they will need to take separate cars. Thus there will be a market for companion parking.

I could see them going easily for $200 even after this crazy rush is over. Dam good return for a $15 investment.

sellers can file to receive their money back from the auction 48 hours after it ends. And it takes like a day or so from there. So these tard bidders are just wasting their time. And that's not going to get them their camping pass.
