Default Where's the Rock 'n Roll?

I'm looking for the rock 'n roll bands that i living in europe havent discovered yet and are playing coachella, anything Folk/Blues/Rock will do. Real folk though..mumford and sons does not count.

For instance so far: I like Black Joe lewis, Felice Brothers, Flogging Molly, Tame Impala and The Black Keys.

    thanks.

i figured we can use this thread as a go to place... for fellow rock/folk/blues/country ppl to get their fix.

I liked that Bright eyes, sounded very sincere, very depressing though.

Tallest man I've been told to like time and time again, it's just i feel its a very unimaginative take on bob dylan's sound. Not saying the guy doesn't have a good voice, just nothing too original. if you have a video to prove me wrong i'd be glad too see it.

Dude, they are the most exciting band on the line-up. Don't be a fool and miss their set. I'm sure they'll be on the mainstage, afterdark, and it will be fucking loud and amazing.

I think I liked The Strokes more when they were called Jet.

If we're lucky something will happen. Some adversity will happen and something unexpected will happen and you'll get tired and you'll get hungry, you'll have trouble going to the bathroom, and you'll lose your car keys, and all these wonderful things will add up to some powerful experience that 10 years from now we'll say "We lived, we lived." - Wayne Coyne on Coachella

You said, I liked it better when they were Jet. Well the Strokes were around before Jet.

Also, Jet is AC/DC-lite nascar buttrock, the Stokres aren't at all and I know it was a decade ago but Is This It? was an awesome album. Jet has never done anything that could almost maybe be seen as awesome in any way.

the beginning reminds me lightly of a primus song for some reason.

i checked out the morning benders. Can't get into the leadsingers voice at all. he's just a little too gay for my liking. no offense. though folkie, too smooth and clean.

If you always listen to rock, then maybe be glad that this fest dosn't have that much of it.

Expand, learn new bands. Some you might love, some you might hate. But you'll leave with new knowledge.

I never would have heard of PJ Harvey or Caifanes before, and now I'm really digging them. Same with the Kills (although I vaguely knew from Dead Weather).
