Music, lyrics, songwriting are all great. But the voice. EEEEEEK! And I'm a Dylan fan.

Lazy comparison in my opinion. The two artists shouldn't be synonymous.

truth. i'd even go as far to say that tallest is a better song writer, though there are chunks of dylan's discography that i haven't heard... yet.

He's not even writing in his native language, either.

They definitely approach song writing in different ways... their lyrical styles couldn't be more antithetic.

    Although:

He picked up an electric guitar. BOB DYLAN ALERT.

I would love for him to release an album entirely in Swedish.

I should've explained better, I guess. Had I made those arguments just blindly, then someone would say, "but you like Lou Reed and Bob Dylan and they weren't exactly great singers either." So, that was my counter to those anticipated arguments. I do think he's a good musician and writer, but the voice is a big turnoff.

No worries. That's the case with a lot of people. Took me a bit to warm up to his voice myself.

the sound he makes with that electric guitar just gave me chills.

the lighting in the tents is terrible for taking videos in the early part of the day, so this video is mostly just his silhouette, but the sound turned out really good.

this was one of my favorite sets of the whole weekend

He's so unbelievably good. He gets on the stage as a tiny little dude with his guitar and manages to instantly captivate everyone in the audience without any gimmick. Pure talent.

He was better when I saw him at The Music Box last year. He seemed tired/lethargic during his Coachella set.

I preferred this to the Music Box set. He sounded stronger vocally and really just connected it. Not to say the Music Box set was bad, since it was fantastic as well.

this was so great. i dragged my friend into seeing him who listens to the total opposite of this type of music and he ended up loving it.

I loved this set, but it was too goddamned quiet. When will they learn that quiet bands in the Mojave or Gobi need to be blasted?

People around me started clapping and got really excited and I was confused because I had no idea...then again they could have just been excited that there was a guest and not known who she was either.

Anyways, his set was just beautiful, after watching him and Radio Dept. back to back I felt like I had just gotten a full body massage. So pretty, mellow, insightful and relaxing. I actually really like his voice but can easily see how it would be hard to like.

I'm definitely wishing I saw this set. The Felice Brothers did not satisfy my folk needs. And I missed all the other alt-country blue grassy stuff. Bad decision(s)!

Has anyone seen a complete setlist?

I could have sworn he covered "Gentle on My Mind" but no one can confirm this for me and I'm starting to question my sanity.
