Music, lyrics, songwriting are all great. But the voice. EEEEEEK! And I'm a Dylan fan.

He's not even writing in his native language, either.

I should've explained better, I guess. Had I made those arguments just blindly, then someone would say, "but you like Lou Reed and Bob Dylan and they weren't exactly great singers either." So, that was my counter to those anticipated arguments. I do think he's a good musician and writer, but the voice is a big turnoff.

the lighting in the tents is terrible for taking videos in the early part of the day, so this video is mostly just his silhouette, but the sound turned out really good.
this was one of my favorite sets of the whole weekend
This ain't no middle of the mall shit.
He's so unbelievably good. He gets on the stage as a tiny little dude with his guitar and manages to instantly captivate everyone in the audience without any gimmick. Pure talent.
Same here. Good watching with you.

He was better when I saw him at The Music Box last year. He seemed tired/lethargic during his Coachella set.

this was so great. i dragged my friend into seeing him who listens to the total opposite of this type of music and he ended up loving it.
I loved this set, but it was too goddamned quiet. When will they learn that quiet bands in the Mojave or Gobi need to be blasted?
Who was the woman he brought out for Thrown Right at Me?

People around me started clapping and got really excited and I was confused because I had no idea...then again they could have just been excited that there was a guest and not known who she was either.
Anyways, his set was just beautiful, after watching him and Radio Dept. back to back I felt like I had just gotten a full body massage. So pretty, mellow, insightful and relaxing. I actually really like his voice but can easily see how it would be hard to like.
Aww. I hope he did. I love that song.
Damn, reading some of these threads is filling me with Coachella remorse![]()
I was gobsmacked at the size of the crowd.
