wow, what a bummer of a thread. i am on the fence...i'm sure ill discover a lot of great lower tier bands that i never knew about, just like every other year, but the top lines are just not doing it for me. i am pumped on a few acts, but there are just way too many shit bands on the 2nd and 3rd lines.

Line up needs more Blur. I am going to stay in San Francisco and see most the bands I want to in awesome venues. I am also going to Europe in May, so I'd prefer to put my money towards that.

I will probably do this. I am on the fence. I really only have a few acts I want to see but the group I go with are not happy with the line up, so that is making things difficult. I don't want to see I am not going but it sure as hell is looking like that for now.

Plus, I have to go to a Euro fest someday. This year would be perfect.

Assuming the evidence from a city application discussed in that thread is real then at best he misled. He may not have directly said "we are selling 15k less tickets" but he did say this: "It's been a hundred days now since the show, and we've been writing notes down [about] how to make this show better," he says. "Almost across the board, each one of us came up with the same note: less people.
