Shaun Regan ( google him and be impressed ) Hopefully I'll find one of MikeIvankay... and... LOL I do not own these photos. Hashtags are one helluva search tool though...
Those shorts are as sexy as sweat pants. MOM SHORTS ARE UNATTRACTIVE. It's like guys that wear fedoras.
Campers arrive for first weekend of 2014 Coachella music festival
You would! Like you did last time. Hahahaha. Are you there (Coachella) GpS?
Edit- that photog though... impressive. http://crystalchatham.com/
I just saw the top. looking back, those shorts are pretty fucking stupid. they make a nice ass look bad. why would you do that?
Yeah same here. That's pretty cool.
makes finding your car in a parking lot alot easier, that's for sure
Are people really posting on the board while they're at Coachella? Good grief people.
the first 24 hours are the most heart-wrenching. seeing all the photos posted from the campgrounds and the polo fields as things kick into action. usually by saturday I stop caring as much, but right now I wish I was there.
I also wish I was there, but mostly because of wanting to take a few days off from real life, and because of wanting to see friends who I don't get to see very often. Seeing the photos makes me remember the good times I have had at past Coachellas, and then I get nostalgic.
The thing I'm trying to remind myself of is that the thing I'm craving isn't actually Coachella 2014 -- it's Coachella 2004. And going to Coachella this year wouldn't have given me that anyway, so it's best to focus my twinges of longing on planning future awesome stuff I am going to do.
But yeah, it's a little hard to see all the photos.
this is my first year since I started going in 2007 that I am not there and I won't be going next week either...my soul hurts, Coachella is the 2nd longest relationship in my adult life.
I missed last year and didn't even realize it was happening this weekend until yesterday, when I was sick at home and had some time to read here more thoroughly. The webcast is working for me, even if we don't get most of the best bands playing this weekend.
I am OK with not going this year because it is a really poor lineup. That really hit home when I saw the webcast schedule; there are only scattered bands I care about. Though I agree, Bryan, there are some good ones missing.
What really hit was the reports of hearing OutKast's soundcheck. I am glad they added OutKast; I will have to pull up the feeds on YouTube tomorrow morning! Also there were some twinges yesterday as folks arrived for camping and at various rented houses. Even if I would be bored by the bands for much of the festival it would be great to see people.
2014 Collaborative Playlist on Spotify.
Nope. I'm sad this time because I really wanted to have a good time with my friends. We all put in a lot of effort to make it awesome and I'm bummed I had to pull out last minute. Every day that I don't feel like the dark hand of doom and financial darkness has a firm grip on me is a glorious one, and I could probably count those days on my hands. I really hate that it didn't work out this year.
Yeah, this wasn't my favorite line up, and yeah, there will be other years, and yes, maybe I'm just nostalgic and miss what it used to be, but I ALWAYS have a fucking blast. I come back home nearly dead, without a voice for days, sore, bruised, cut, and down a cellphone- but I have made new friends that I can finally nerd out with on music that I adore, and no other festival makes me as happy.
This is my third year in a row not going and I am fine with just the webcast. Outkast was the only group I was really bummed about missing so I will just have to make do.
On another note it is sort of depressing seeing more pictures and post on Facebook about people being at various parties then the festival it self. At this point it really is going to have to take a hell of a line up for me to go back.
The music and atmosphere do sound / look boring but to be fair I am not there and just jealous. And probably the best ones and the Coachella magic was / is being missed in the webcast.
I really miss the Coachella camp/festival culture / atmosphere. Not so much the food - it was fun checking out and doing the taste of everything even if they look awful. I think it was the last one when we finally got some real coconut / juice. I will travel to Coachella if the food is epic for my tastes (like I do around the world) and even when lineup is underwhelming.
I am not going to look at the pictures this year especially mike / ivankay's awesome blow by blow and beautiful coverage (great job but sorry mate - those are the ones that made me cry a little in the past). Ok there I said it. Promise, I will look at them on the year(s) I am attending as well. I will try next year.
