LA folks who are not coming (or are not coming to weekend 1), please come to this.
I'm only in LA for the one night this year and it'd be great to see you all.
Also, those who are coming to weekend 1 are obviously welcome too.
I just realized how fucking boring the board is going to be for an entire week. Egads.
Starting in 2008, I've watched the web-cast every year. It's pretty cool. However, I wasn't all that enamored with how the web-cast was set up last year. It was way too restrictive. Hopefully this year's is better.
The board isn't too bad during the Fest, there's people to commiserate with and comment on the sets web-casted. The most fun is spotting boardies via the web-cast.
06/25 Hot Chip, Tycho, Blackbird Blackbird and Social Studies
07/05 Jim Jeffries
07/26 The Postal Service and Max Cooper
8/9-11 Outside Lands and Glass Candy
09/18 The Orb
09/24 Wax Tailor
10/25-27 Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit
11/01 Iron & Wine
I'll be around & am definitely going to watch the webcast and get drunk. I may go on a bender just like I do at Coachella so it sort of feels like I'm really there.
We'll just have to meet when you move to CA!
I'll be moving to Chicago this week, so I think that will cushion the blow of missing the fest (especially since the reason I'm missing it is so I could move). Plus I'm seeing Ben Klock on Saturday, who put on one of the best DJ sets I've ever seen, so I still have something fun to look forward to.
I'm out for this year, and it feels weird saying it, but I don't feel like I'm going to miss it one bit. I want to see a couple of the bands playing, but I don't feel the "withdrawal" that I expected from this. I forgot the date was even coming up.
I will miss seeing most of you, as its usually the only time out of the year I, well, hang out with pretty much everyone from the boards. Enjoy the festival!
My work is completely dead slow, and my girlfriend is on vacation until Sunday. This is all going to make this much more difficult.
If I were you, I'd rile up the homebodies and get more nudes!
We'll miss you . . . all!
I support gunz's suggestion.
I think I'm doing quite well this weekend. Perhaps it's because I didn't go last year either but I've barely even noticed the complaints about the weather, how good some acts are, etc. It also helps that I've been super busy with work and have been getting lots of praise there. Other hobbies have helped, like trying to sell my Sasquatch tickets.
Apparently all I had to do was post them on Vancouver's craigslist!
i definitely am missing the fields :/ oh well i'll be back next year
the music is what its all about, you love it just like i love it.
