Starting in 2008, I've watched the web-cast every year. It's pretty cool. However, I wasn't all that enamored with how the web-cast was set up last year. It was way too restrictive. Hopefully this year's is better.

The board isn't too bad during the Fest, there's people to commiserate with and comment on the sets web-casted. The most fun is spotting boardies via the web-cast.

Yeah, I watched the webcast from home for 2010 and 2011. Spotting board members is fun. Getting really drunk and chatting while watching the webcast is fun too.

I'll be moving to Chicago this week, so I think that will cushion the blow of missing the fest (especially since the reason I'm missing it is so I could move). Plus I'm seeing Ben Klock on Saturday, who put on one of the best DJ sets I've ever seen, so I still have something fun to look forward to.

I'm out for this year, and it feels weird saying it, but I don't feel like I'm going to miss it one bit. I want to see a couple of the bands playing, but I don't feel the "withdrawal" that I expected from this. I forgot the date was even coming up.

Perhaps it's because I didn't go last year either but I've barely even noticed the complaints about the weather, how good some acts are, etc. It also helps that I've been super busy with work and have been getting lots of praise there. Other hobbies have helped, like trying to sell my Sasquatch tickets.
