This is reasonably upsetting to me.

Lineup is eminently missable. Festival overcrowding more so.

They said they're selling less tickets this year. The attendance will be the same as it was in 2009.

It's going alright. Working 3 jobs to pay bills. Playing in a band I'm not really into. Planning a trip to Japan. Breathing.

Hi Brandon. It's good to hear you are breathing. I'm guessing Japan will be a rather wonderful excursion to make up for missing this festival.

    Someone should start a list.

And I'm "unsure." I booked a hotel room, but that can be easily canceled. Boyfriend and I working on trying to make SXSW and Coachella work on our budget.

It's unfortunate, there is a lot to arm dance to. Pending schools of raver teens getting in the way of course.

I'll put a list in the first post.

Line up needs more Blur. I am going to stay in San Francisco and see most the bands I want to in awesome venues. I am also going to Europe in May, so I'd prefer to put my money towards that.

I will probably do this. I am on the fence. I really only have a few acts I want to see but the group I go with are not happy with the line up, so that is making things difficult. I don't want to see I am not going but it sure as hell is looking like that for now.

Plus, I have to go to a Euro fest someday. This year would be perfect.

I was considering this before the lineup dropped. It's more tempting now that it's out and I'm waffling back and forth, considering Primavera doesn't need to even make more adds and I'd still be really satisfied.

Speaking of this thread title, I thought Tracey Thorn was a lock this year.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

Can't justify flying halfway around the world for this line-up. I see Chem Bros 2 weeks before I would have left, here. Think I'm going to save my monies and plan for a huge 3 month trip to America next year covering as many fests as I can. Won't be going

As of right now I'm not going, but things may change. The most deterring factor for me is the crowd this lineup will bring

1litro and I will not be there. We're doing a month long, cross-country road trip in May in celebration of his 50th birthday and the girls' college graduations. We're gonna see the sights and have fun.

I was very relieved when the line up dropped last night --- I was so afraid it would break my heart. It didn't.

I wasn't 'relieved' but it makes life easier when you don't care for the lineup and don't want to go. Maybe I'm just not in the demographic any more that the fest is aimed at.

Missing '09 was really tough for me though.

If I had known at the end of Coachella '08 that I wasn't going to be back for at least 4 years (if I go next year), I would have savoured it just a little more.

I felt the same way, although I did feel a twinge seeing the London Suede, Leftfield, and Shpongle on there. Oh well.
